This beautiful classic boat has been in our family since 1968. It has always been stored in a garage except for one winter it was under a carport. It was built in 1958 in Dundee, NY.My wife and I completely refinished the boat in 2012. The original Evinrude Lark 40 HP outboard was replaced with a 1975? Mercury 402 40 HP outboard that I had rebuilt by Presque Isle Sports in Erie, PA where they specialize in antique and classic boats. It runs perfectly. I had to raise the transom as the new outboard was a long shaft. Top speed is approximately 22 mph and will easily tow a skier or a tube.We sanded the exterior but left the interior intact. After staining the mahogany veneer decks, transom, and gunwales, we finished it with Danish oil. The molded plywood hull, originally white over red, was painted blue over red. The windshield was cracked so it was removed and replaced with an aluminum plate on which was mounted a marine radio, compass and depth finder. All the hardware and lighting was replaced and new decals applied. The seats also got a new fabric treatment this summer from an all red to a marine themed pattern. There was a damaged area to the hull which was professionally repaired with fiberglass by Eldred's Autobody in Edinboro, PA where they specializein custom and hot rod building and have been featured in national magazines. The repair is extremely strong. After the applying the patch, the entire lower hull was sanded down to the wood and a bright red "Rhino" type lining treatment was applied. The Tee Nee trailer is white with brand new 4.80x8 tires, wheels, new lights, swivel front mounted jack and Bearing Buddy Stainless Steel Bearing Protectors with Auto Check. I don't know the total weight but I easily tow the boat with a 4-cylinder vehicle.Refinishing took all of 2012 and starting in 2013 it has only been in the water approximately 3-4 times per summer. It has not been in the water this year although the outboard has been run with an external water supply. The boat value is assessed at $10,000 by Hagerty Classic Marine Insurance Co. The trailer is insured for an additional $2,000.This boat is very seaworthy and I have had it in 4-5' waves in Lake Erie (but that's pushing the limits). I am torn about parting with it, but I am retired and we are trying to downsize anticipating a move. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
