Please be patient with the loading as there are over 30 pictures in this description below. Also, feel free to call me with any questions phoneSelling my rare 1988 Donzi Minx Testarossa Edition. 1 of only 5 built and this was the last one they made. It also has the rare Italian windshield that only a handful got.
This is also the last model Donzi made before they stopped hand laying the fiberglass and switched to the chopper gun.
It is in very good condition for the age and needs absolutely nothing to take to the water and enjoy.I will not expect you to buy this until after a satisfactory sea trial is performed if you desire. It is mechanically solid and you will be impressed with the rideI am the 3rd owner of this boat, and it has always been an NC boat. It has only been in salt water a handful of times (total around 15 hrs it's whole life) and has always been thoroughly flushed and washed after each use. This boat cruises comfortably at 4-45 but tops out at 60 without breaking the bank when it comes to fuel. It has also only had non ethanol premium fuel run through it.The boat has 415hrs on it but will still go up as i use it about every other weekend. It has a 350 magnum with an alpha outdrive and stainless prop.Brand new edlebrock carb this summer but I still have the original one to the motor as well.Engine oil and drive oil changed and have about 20 hrs on them.Last year it had the following parts installednew gimbal bearingnew coupler from motor to outdrivenew motor mountsThe only issue mechanically with the boat is the trim gauge, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.Also the freshwater hookup on the transom was disconnected by the previous owner. I never bothered to hook it up because it would only flush the motor and leave the impeller running dry down in the outdrive. The interior is in really great shape for being an 88. The front seats are perfect but the back seat has split at some of the seams. You can't see once the seats are installed though and it still looks good and is perfectly usable. If you look closely at the pictures you will see the tape covering the torn stiching on the starboard side of the bottom bench as well as a tiny tear in one of the back rests. The hull is in great shape but has a few scratches like any 26 year old boat will. It isn't perfect and when up close you can tell there are spots where it is just starting to fade. To be perfect it would need to be buffed although it still carries a shine and looks great. I get compliments on this boat every time I take it out. Don't buy it if you don't like attention. The trailer included in the sale is the black steel trailer. It is in good shape with just a little surface rust on the fender where paint has chipped off. It has NEVER touched the salt water. the bearings are good but 2 tires have a little weather cracking on them, although I towed it about 200 miles going 75 and had no issues. I have a clear NC title to the black steel trailer. The aluminum trailer is available for an extra $500. I do not have a title for this trailer but will write a bill of sale. The trailer has torsion axles and in May 2014 I put on 4 brand new wheels, 4 new tires, and 4 new hub assemblies with bearings.
You will NOT be disappointed with how this boat runs and drives.Included is the original cockpit cover which is in great shape as well as a full cover.I am only selling because I moved to the beach and want a bigger go fast boat for the ocean, and I also feel bad knowing I am the first person to touch this boat to salt water.videos of it runninghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g5potqgt48https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gfzz5ThFUdwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAWOqchS0s0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leYSIR3He1YPlease be patient with the loading as there are over 30 pictures in this description below. Also, feel free to call me with any questions phoneSelling my rare 1988 Donzi Minx Testarossa Edition. 1 of only 5 built and this was the last one they made.
