Garage-kept 2009 Donzi 16 Classic - Original Owner - This was the first Sweet 16 built in 2009 (see hull ID) and one of the last Donzi's built in Florida. I have never put her in saltwater, and the engine only has 222 hours on it. The boat is in phenomenal condition since it has never been stored outside. The Mercury engine is the 220 HP 4.3 MPI V6. The top speed on her was 62 mph GPS. Normal WOT speed is 55-56 mph. She cruises smoothly at 45 mph, and is a jack rabbit out of the gate. I had Captain's Call Through Hull Exhaust installed, so with the flip of a switch she rumbles down the lake with that throaty sound you expect from a go-fast high-performance boat. Boating Magazine voted the Sweet 16 as the most iconic boat ever built. The current price tag for this boat from the factory is $79,000, and that's without trailer and the extras this one has. I am selling because after moving to Gainesville from Tampa, I discovered there is no suitable boat ramp or lake in the area for deep V hulls - I simply have nowhere to boat any longer. Other extras on the boat include: Depth Finder, Mercury Vessel View, Battery Charger, Custom Fit Boat Cover, Spare Tire, and spare parts and maintenance items. Standard Factory Items include: Tuck and Roll Upholstery, Removable Carpet, Canvas Cockpit Cover, Alpha One Drive with Stainless Prop, Engine Flush Kit, and Gaffrig (Lighted) Gauges. Single Axle Trailer is included, which is functional, but would suggest looking for a newer custom one. The boat has had regular maintenance from certified Mercruiser technicians. Clear Vessel Title and Clear Trailer Registration. The engine (and compartment) is in pristine condition (see photo). There are no known major issues with this beauty, however, there are a few minor ones: 1) There is a thin interior crack on the fiberglass engine hatch that occurred when I forgot once to close it before taking off, and it flipped backwards (see pic) - The crack does not extend to the exterior of the hatch, 2) There are 3 sensor errors detected by Mercury Vessel View, but the sensors are actually operating correctly - my mechanic tested them, and said they are all accurate - one is for the speedometer, another is for the fuel tank level, and the other for the tilt level - so don't know why MVV is detecting an issue, 3) One of the bunk boards on the trailer has warped, but it doesn't seem to affect the fit any and 4) There are a few minor gelcoat and upholstery blemishes, which are normal for a 15-year old boat. Insurance on a boat like this is $400/year. The weight of the boat is 2,500 pounds, the trailer is 700 pounds. Boat & Trailer are "road-ready" - you just need to bring a tow vehicle that can pull 3,500 pounds with a 2" ball hitch. No returns - you may bring a mechanic, however, to look over the boat - there is nowhere locally to test drive the boat, but it starts first time every time, and the engine and outdrive are in excellent condition. There are no error codes on the engine itself. For those not accustomed to go-fast boats, there is a learning curve to driving them - this boat is meant to look, sound and perform bad-a$$ on the water. You will get compliments on the boat every time you go out - it is a head-turner, with its unmistakable Jim Wynn/Walt Walters iconic 1964 hull design with signature racing stripe down the center. Message me with any questions and I can provide a phone number for easier communication - Perhaps I can send video of her, also. I am conveniently located 2 minutes off I-75. Happy Bidding!
