This is a modern reproduction of a mid 1950's mahogany runabout that utilized modern materials and technology. It offers the wooden boat admirer the opportunity to own a beautiful wooden boat without the enormous maintenance requirements of the originals. There is no varnish to maintain as it is finished in clear coat epoxy. The modern Mercury 4 cylinder 3.0 Liter engine offers twice the power, half the weight, and 3 times the fuel economy of the originals of that era. The engine is compliant with California emissions standards. The hull is a seamless epoxy glass construction with 3/16" mahogany planks bonded to it. Its deep V configuration achieves an easy plane and a smooth ride. The Alpha 1 outdrive provides appropriate trim at any speed. The boat is light enough so that anything can pull it, and its 16' length and folding trailer tongue means that it will fit into most suburban garages without the need to rent a slip. I will deliver this boat free up to 300 miles from Murfreesboro Tennessee. Beyond that additional fees may apply.

Hello!
Just want to applaud you on a fantastic idea! I'm not quite that age yet to remember these when they were out, (I'm 46) but I bet my dad does. I do have a real appreciation for the wood boats like this. Especially the way you did it!
Q is do you have more than one of these? I'd be interested in the future. I'd like to bump it to the Merc 4.3LX if possible? That might be too much engine weight for that boat. I had a 95 Bayliner SS 18 foot with that engine. It was good on gas and that was fast boat!! Sold it when we had children.
At the moment we have A LOT going on like most folks, we are headed to my dad's cabin on Man Lake (Northern MN) soon. As you prob know we have a lot of lakes here in MN. I've driven right through NSH through Murfreesboro on my way to my in laws place on Amelia Island (although I would not put it in the IC Waterway there). NO salt on that bad boy! :)
We go up to the lake a lot and this would be a really neat addition.
Anyway, Cool idea! Heck I might even bid on it on feebay. That's where I found it. That size is perfect! 16' for our lake (440 acres, it's a deep one, big muskie lake). Man Lake Limited which sells bee supplies has his, well he now passed, but he has his "mansion" on Man lake there that his wife now owns. If you google "Man lake Bees" that's him. It's our lakes "claim to fame." :)
Anyway very cool Sir - very cool hobby, if that's the case! Love that combo of current convenience with old style CLASS! Nowadays it's mostly junk fiber and plastic with cheap vinyl seats inmo. :)
