If you ever dreamed of living ON the water this could be for you. It is warm in the winter, easy to cool in the summer, no smell of mustiness or fuel. I kept a slip along side this boat where I had a runabout and got on the water often..then came back to my cozy floating home.If you have shoreline property or a pond or lake this could be a great guest house, or Airbnb possibility. There is NO tax on boats!I didn't have the time to put final paint on her this Summer and a few other details that I expected to take time to finish. The work andmaintenanceleft could be easily done by someone who is handy or a marina would have no trouble finishing off for you. There is an up-trend in Liveaboard and Tiny House market and boats being used in smaller marinas as cottages. This is a veryunique item in that itrepresents thecuteness of a Tug shapedboat with the extra thought that went into making it a comfortable live aboard. Most boats aremeant to be used only in the warm weather. I had a goodfriend spend a couple nights on her and he fell in love with it and thought afterward he would buy a used 42' powerboat for $250k to live on and sell someday further down the line...he spent one test night on the powerboat in October and he said he wasshivering all night andcouldn't get warm and he couldn't stand the smell of thediesel fuel and mold. I have another friend who contracted a upstate New York Canal boat- the steel hull fabrication cost and combinedepoxy barrier coat and simple systems cost him $240k and then he spent an additional year fitting out the interior. My point here is price is a complicated place to land on with something thisunique; however, if you just even start to try to imaging hiring skilled welders, cabinet makers and fiberglass boat fabricators to make something like this ground up..It will be a commitment many times what I am asking. Considerliving on this full time rather than throwing away money everymonth on an apartment and it will be a remarkable chapter in you life as it was in mine. Or consider buying this rather than renting a cottage on the shore every Summer andexperiencelife on the water as a getaway year round....and if you take care of her you will have something to sell or pass along. If you have a piece of land that has waterfront you probably know howrestrictive it is to build at the edge of the water.. however boats allow a way around this...you could park this houseboat inthe water and have an instant guest house "on the water". In order to get the full scope of the build, the systems I suggest making arrangements for yourself or an agent on your behalf phone) to meet with me to inspect and see the boat on land in Chester, Ct I will go over the systems and any work I feel is necessary. The boat was last moved by ahauler with a hydraulic adjustable trailer. It is currently next to a marina and could be trailered or launched and towed or taken by barge to a new destination..Or you could keep her on the Ct. shoreline in a marina or at a mooring as an easy getaway from New York or Boston. The total weight is approximately 14,000 lbs.Truly a unique opportunity to live this way...Do it now before its too late in life...So many people who have walked passed me on the dock have said..."I always wanted to live on a houseboat"
