1965 18' Cruisers Inc. Wooden BoatSolid project boat with period correct 1964 Johson 75 horse power Super Sea Horse outboard and TEE NEE tilting trailer.I purchased the boat to restore but my health hasn't cooperated. The boat has been stored indoors during the winter since I bought it 4 years ago. I bought the engine separately from a marina in Chicago. It has a new, correct prop and water pump impeller; however I have never started it.The trailer is solid with decent tires and working lights. I towed it from the southern shore of Lake Superior to Northern Illinois behind a 1989 Mercedes 300SEL with ease. The rig tows very nicely.

  • Lapstrake hull, built of mahogany plywood in solid and straight.
  • Windshield frame is solid mahogany and has split tip-out windshields.
  • Front seats are solid mahogany.
  • Dual cabinets, behind the front seats is a combination of solid mahogany and mahogany plywood.
  • Mahogany plywood deck is solid.
  • Has 18 gallon "long-liner" tank plus two 5 gallon separate tanks.
  • A new marine battery is included.
  • Has complete "camper canvas is good condition except for two tear in the very bottom of the rear section.
  • Has an "old School fish finder of unknown condition.
  • Solid mahogany transome is basically good with a small amount of rot at the bottom inside.
  • The rear seat is disassembled with all parts included with the boat and in good condition.
  • Original mahogany splash well disassembled and included for use as patterns but need to be re-created with new material.
  • Origianal cable steering disassembled with all parts included and in good condition.
Restoration NotesThe boat is a project but a good one and would be a wonderful classic when finished. I bought it with the idea of doing a full restoration and keeping it for a long time but at 70+ years old my body just doesn't want to cooperate with my desire.If you have any questions feel free to ask. I'll give you a straight, honest answer as I want to be just as happy when you tow it away as you are when you win the bid.Surely the engine, hardware and other part are worth more than my paltry opening bid.
