This is a beautiful 1961 vintage Model 370 Commander made by Cruisers Inc. Cruisers Inc was a sister company of Thompson Boats and they shared manufacturing techniques and styles. You can find examples of the Thompson Boats product line that were also produced by Cruisers Inc. and built to a higher standard that sold for a premium price.
This is a wonderful, well maintained and original example with a strong running Evinrude StarFlite IV 75hp motor that is correct for this boat. It may very likely be the original motor. In my care, I've had the varnish maintained and engine serviced by professionals as required routinely on a vintage boat. This boat is ready to enjoy with your family and/or take to boat club outings or classic boat shows.
A new hand-held marine radio and a new-in-the-box Garmin 541S GPS Chartplotter with Sonar is included and the boat is already wired for the Garmin.
The boat has been stored between outings in my standard garage at my home. You can see in one of the last two images that the windshield frame has been hinged so it can fold backward for storage. This enables the boat to fit inside a garage with only a 7 ft high door. The overall length of the boat on its trailer, from the trailer tongue to the end of the outboard motor is under 22 feet. The last picture shows this cute little boat next to my 24 ft Skiff Craft for size comparison.
The trailer shown with the boat in these pictures is included. I have recently replaced the wheels and tires and installed new bunks. I also have another complete Evinrude Starflite motor that has been winterized for storage which I can include with this package.
This boat always attracts attention dockside and on the road. People love to see and talk about classic vintage boats, especially ones that are as cute as this one. This week I am showing the boat at the annual "first of the season" antique and classic boat show on Lake Dora in Central Florida. You might think about buying this boat in time to show it at your own local ACBS event later this season.
I know that someone seriously interested in this boat would have some questions to ask. Please contact me with your questions if you are considering this boat. You'll get straight answers from a long-time ACBS member.
