Their unique claim to fame was to bolt side boards securely to oak ribs, making one of the strongest wooden boats ever. The Thompson company was partially purchased by Chris Craft in 1962, who also made the same lapstrake boats from Thompson specs. The Cruisers Company is still in business, now making fine yachts.This is a rare opportunity to own a museum quality piece of boating history; preserved, protected to last for years.
