NO RESERVE AUCTION
Eighteen foot 1966 Bell Boy Cabin Cruiser with twin outboard Johnson engines. Very well maintained classic boat. This boat is designed for either salt or fresh water although she has never been in salt water.
Our boat is almost 50 years old and does have some minor cosmetic wear and tear. For example, the latch on the cabin door needs replaced. We have the part and will pass it along to the new owner. The wood shows weathering. Wear and tear of this nature.
The pictures show that one of the knobs is missing from the forward/reverse control lever of one of the engines. We believe that we DO have the knob. It has a tendency to "jiggle off" due to the vibration of the boat. We will look for it.
The boat does come with the original cover. The cover was once put on the boat wet (prior to our ownership) and hasweakened in spots. It needs to have the straps reinforced by an experienced seamstress.
The engines run strong. When she comes out of the water there is a slight oil sheen. The impellers and lower seals need replaced. This is normal maintenance and NOT and engine problem. We have owned the boat since July 2012 and we have had her in the water 2012 and 2013. We have the parts to send home with the buyer. Also included is a Seloc 1958-72 Johnson/Evinrude Outboards repair manual. The new owner could do this maintenance themselves or take her to a shop. Our intention was to do the impellers ourselves, but we never had the time.
To the best of our knowledge, everything on the boat works. I say this because we have never used the horn. It is not hooked up as it requires compressed air.
When we bought the boat we were told that she was "all original." We have no reason to believe otherwise. Therefore, the boat has her original gel coat. She has not been repainted.
The boat comes with the original tandem axle trailer. The trailer is in good shape and has good tires. The boat was originally from Utah and the trailer has never been registered as Utah does not require licensing of trailers. A bill of sale will be issued.
This is a beautiful, one of a kind boat.
We are selling this boat because we do not have the time to enjoy her. We have a new set of twin babies that are encompassing all of our time. Prior to the twins, we both traveled extensively for work and didn't have the time we wanted for the boat, either. However, we will not be using the boat until the babies are much, much older and we hate to just have her sit.
