For sale is one of the nicest bowrider boats you'll ever find. The 255 SS is the number one selling model by Crownline. If you go to Youtube and search for:Walkthrough 255 SSThe video is very interesting as it was produced by the CEO of Crownline Kevin Riem. He discusses how the swim platform seating design came about and was the first boat in the industry to implement this design. He also discusses the quality of a Crownline and how they achieve that quality. This boat has been gently used since it was new in 2015 by a retired couple. It has only spent it's life on the fresh water of the St Clair river and lake St Clair in the southeastern Michigan area. She has never been left in water overnight. When not being used she rested on a boat hoist. It has never pulled a skier or wake boarder, for that matter it has never pulled anything. She has only been driven at cruising speed or less, with the exception of two times or so at WOT for a very short period just to see what the top end speed was. It is about 50 MPH. It cruises at about 30-35 MPH at about 3500 RPM. It has about 69 hours on it. The power comes from a Mercruiser 350 Mag with a Bravo III duo-prop outdrive. Some of the options not included in 2015 with the standard 255 SS configuration include:Executive style helm.Head with electric flush toilet and counter/cabinet with wash basin.Battery charger.Blue tooth audio.I mentioned that I hadn't pulled a skier but for any skiers or wake boarders, this would be a great boat. It gets to plane almost immediately. You will have all the power needed to pull any skier and get them out of the water in a hurry. The package comes with the beautifulmatching Crowline trailer as well as the Biminiand cockpit and bow canvases seen in the pictures. If you are interested in taking a tour of the boat or have any questions contact me through classifieds board communications. Thanks for taking a look.On Sep-12-17 at 15:49:52 PDT, seller added the following information:
Another optional item I forgot to mention is that the boat comes with a Raymarine a65 multi display touchscreen chart-plotter that is factory installed.
Also, this boat has a 5 year warranty on it, with 2 years remaining. The Crownline part of the warranty includes all structural items like the hull, etc. Unfortunately, the transfer fee is $750 so probably wouldn't be worth the expense to do the transfer. However, the great news is that the Brunswick (parent company of Mercury) part of the warranty transfer fee is only $50 ($40 in Florida). This gives you a full two year warranty on the Mercruiser 350 MAG engine and the Bravo III outdrive. I've got the forms and details on doing the transfers.
