1958 CROSBY Capri 16ft vintage boat. Solid floor and transom. Hull in good shape with gelcoat crazing, but no flaking. Deck above the gunnel (red area) is badly crazed with flaking. Rear seat area has sagged about 1 1/2" and will need raised and fiberglass reworked. I have the windshield, but it is broken. It has the full set of cushions that snap onto the boat. Not very usable, but good for patterns.Engine is 60 HP, original to the boat, and not run for over 30 years. Cylinders are fogged and engine turns over by pull rope with strong compression. It has a bronze prop. All complete except for needing a prop nut and washer. For those that don't know, this engine is direct drive with no neutral or reverse gear. To back up, engine is stopped, throttle lever pulled back, and engine restarted running backwards by pushing down on the button on top of the throttle handle. The throttle cable changes the timing by moving the distributor. The forward and reverse switches in the control are new and the wiring harness from engine to control is new. Still needs a newignition switch. Throttle cable is good.Steering is original Quicksilver Kiekhaefer rack & pinion with single cable that works very well. Steering wheel is cast aluminum.Trailer is original to the boat, maker unknown. It is in very good shape with a transverse spring. Tires are rotten and lights bad. There is no title for the trailer. I brought this home on a flatbed trailer.Title in hand for the boat, in my name. Selling at NO RESERVE.
