Up for sale is my 1958/59 Crestliner Flying Crest 17 foot aluminum boat. The motor is a c.1990 40 hp Evinrude VRO that is very clean and works good, runs fine. I had it gone over last winter and all it needed was a cleanup and new spark cables. The hull is in good shape too. If you are looking for a classic boat to restore this is a good candidate or just use it as a runabout. No leaks. No drastic, bad modifications have been made to it and there are no large dents. Feel free to come over to look at it. It is ready for the water. I took it out on the lake a couple weeks ago and am selling it because, frankly, I like the kayak better and the lakes around here are too small for a motor boat, IMHO.I am listing this as a "1958/59" model because folks at the Crestliner forum say '58, some say '59. It has some features from each one.Comes with a 6 gallon tank with new hoses and prime ball. Recently filled with 50:1 gas too. Comes with an anchor and other stuff. The trailer was totally gone over last fall also. Rewired with new lights and is 100% safe for the roads. New tires, new bearings and packed with new grease in the fall of 2015. Tongue takes a 2 inch ball.It comes with the original bow navigation lights and its board mount. The wood can be used as a pattern to make a new one.Comes with a fully charged battery.I have all the paper work and the Secretary of State office is only 7 miles from my house to do the official transfer. If you are a member of the iBoats forums do a search for the thread titled "What model Evinrude do I have?? 40 HP engine" for more pictures and information on this motor. And more information and photos about the history of this boat can be found at the Retro Crestliner Discussion Forum under the thread titled "Please ID my 1950s aluminum Flying Crest".If you have any questions let me know! Feel free to come over any time to look at it. Make me an offer. I am in Waterford, MI off the main roads and motivated to sell. This is an "as is" sale. No returns.
