Up for auction today is a 2000 Crest II DL 18' pontoon boat powered by a smooth running Johnson 50 hp outboard and sitting on a single axle galvanized bunk trailer.Mechanical:Powered by a bulletproof Johnson 50hp outboard powertrain you need not look any further if your looking for quality. Johnson is well known for there longevity, reliability, and low cost to maintain and this motor with only 257 hrs logged is no exception to that rule. Upon inspection we found this outboard in perfect running condition with 120 PSI on each cylinder and idling/shifting as if it were brand new cruising at a top speed of around 22 MPH. During servicing the motor we found the water pump (impellar), lower unit fluid, spark plugs needed to be replaced and we already completed these services. Also during the inspection we checked navigation/docking lights and they are functional once replacing a few bulbs. The AM/FM radio plays well through the current speakers but could use a update as they crackled a little at higher volumes. This boat is also equipped with a fully functional Hummingbird fishfinder/depth sounder that has been professionally mounted on the dash in perfect viewing area as seen in the photos. Lastly the gauges to include fuel, volts, speedometer, and system operations were found to all work with no current issues. Overall, it appears to be well serviced throughout the years with being used in fresh water for most of its life.Cosmetic:One quick glance through the photos we provided you can tell the previous owner took pride in keeping the interior of their boat in great condition. The seats are in excellent condition showing no major signs of wear, tears, stains, or sun cracking as they are probably the cleanest original seats we have ever come across in a 15 year old boat. The carpet in this boat was upgraded a few years back to a higher level carpet that shows quite well with no snags or stains. The furniture frames are all solid and all have storage underneath of them to house all of your safety equipment and supplies for a day out on the water. A few of the seat cushion brackets have come detached from the frames but can easy be re-attached or just removed completely as alot of times they get in the way of loading into storage areas. The Bimini Top is in great condition with just a few minor stains and it covers more than half of the boat to keep the sun and heat down on your day on the water. In the rear of the boat you'll find a pop up enclosed changing station area with room for a porti-potti which will need a little work to the hinge for it to be fully functional. On the exterior you find the aluminum playpen enclosure to have a few dings and scuffs but the majority of the nice vinyl graphics to still show nice and bright for a attractive look. The pontoons are air tight and show very little oxidation as this boat was used mostly in the fresh water canals here in Cape Coral, Florida. The previous owners did leave the boat in the water but did protect it with always applying fresh coats of aluminum bottom paint which was re-applied in the last 6 months as seen in the photos. Upon inspecting the floors we found the wood flooring in like new condition with no signs of rot or soft spots. Overall, a few hours of TLC work on hinges/brackets will bring this boat right back up to fully functional condition and shows quite well even with a few blemishes for a boat of its age.Trailer:Included with the sale of this boat is the single axle galvanized trailer shown in the photos. The bunks have been replaced within the last year but were not recovered with carpet which is not necessary but can easily be done for around $80 in materials. The lighting is fully functional and the bearings were recently greased to perform as expected. The tires are usable but will need to be replaced in the future as they are showing some wear.
