1967 Correct Craft WildcatI bought this boat several years ago from the original owner in Lake Tahoe. I immediately fell in love with this boat, probably because of the color... and the 426! I probably shouldn't ever get rid of it, but I've realized I have way too much stuff and someone else may love it just like I do... and actually use it. On with the story...You'll see it pictured in my driveway on a single axle trailer, this trailer was the trailer the original owner used to take it in and out of the lake every year, it made it about 1/4 mile from the storage garage to the boat ramp twice a year for the first 45 years. When I picked the boat up in Lake Tahoe the trailer made it about 15 miles before falling apart and having a wheel fall off. It got a nice ride on a flatbed wrecker into Carson City for a few weeks were it got a new axle. I picked it up and hauled it back to Oregon with no issues, Day 2 in Oregon I decided to haul it to work to show the boat off... and never made it. The trailer came unhooked from my truck and destroyed the bed of my truck.... so began the search for a new trailer. It now sits on a nice tandem axle trailer that was fashioned to fit the Wildcat. It's tongue heavy and tows like a dream, and I don't fear the trailer falling apart. The Boat;Every time you pull away from the dock and open up the monster 426 you can't help but smile. It runs like a top and at 4500' elevation will top out at about 48 mph. About the 426, just like many people will read... and think... is it a HEMI? NO.. are you sure? YES.. I've been playing with cars and boats my entire life. It's a 426 Wedge, it uses the same parts as the 383,413, and 440. I think the valve covers call it 290 horsepower, which just like cars of it's time was probably way under-rated.It runs, shifts, steers, floats, the bilge pump works, tach and speedo's work, all the guages work except the gas guage. It came with a nice stick with marking to check the level. It's a trailer boat for me, so it doesn't stay overnight in the water and I fill it up before every trip to the lake. It probably has half a tank in it.It has a new battery and I replaced the impellers (takes 2) last year. It stays inside in the winter and covered outside the rest of the time. It's ready to go to the lake, and I'm hoping whoever buys it wants to go for a ride before it heads down the road. I'd be happy to take you out in it! It has current Oregon registration till the end of 2020.I have the small chrome post for the front burgee flag someplace in my garage, along with the windshield wiper. The upholstery is still presentable and functional, but it really could be freshened up and redone to be great. It's simple, so it isn't going to cost a fortune to have it redone like many newer boats.I have more pictures of the engine, but I couldn't get them to load, so if they aren't updated when you read this, just send me a message and I'd happily send them to you.The cover has developed some tears, so it might be on its last year without some sewing machine work. There isn't a boat on the lake that turns heads like this!! The color!! The sound and rumble of the V8!! It's a classic!!If you want pictures of anything else just ask.I'm only selling it because I have so many cars, boats, tractors, and toys.... time to sell them all and start over.NO RESERVE!!
