For about 3 years I have been working to fully restore this wonderful ski boat. All components are original or factory replacements purchased from Skidim. The engine was professionally rebuilt 2 years ago, with very little run time since. It is the original PCM351 right-hand rotation engine coupled to the original Velvet Drive 1-1 direct drive. The transmission was also professionally rebuilt (it actually didn't need it but since it was already apart a full rebuild kit was installed.) I have driven the boat around the lake only a handful of times (all test and tune trips), and there is still some adjustment that needs to be made to the timing or wiring. I am selling this boat because I can no longer continue the project due to unforeseen circumstances. Below is a list of all parts installed as well as remaining problems.***This boat has never been run in salt water, and the trailer is included***New Parts Installed:Engine was professionally rebuilt, including heads.Transmission rebuild kitTransmission Cooler and linesHolley 4160 Carburetor (x2) -I monkeyed with the first one and bought a second that I left at factory adjustment.Exhaust manifolds, risers, hoses, and flapsProtech complete engine harness and electronic distributer, and all associated electrical componentsFuel PumpWater Pump (main engine one, not the impeller pump)Impeller for raw water pump (changed every year, one spare)Alternator has been professionally rebuiltOil drain hoseSpark plugs and wiresThermostatLights/BulbsBlowerBilge PumpAll belts and hosesFuel line fully replacedNew fitted boat cover, never usedInterior/Hull:The stringers are in good shapeThe deck has one minor soft spot just under the observer seat, but all else is in great shapeNeeds new carpetAll original vinyl with Ski Nautique pressed checker pattern. Only one tear, its in the removable rear seat, does not affect the checkered part. Swim Platform is all original teak with no defects.Gel coat in decent shape, minor scuffs, original decals intactCurrent Problems:Ignition Switch connection or starter solenoid may be bad (could just be batter, I did not have a whole lot of time the last time I messed with it.Ignition timing/wiring may not be totally correct: (I am pretty well mechanically inclined, however electrical is my weakness. The timing at idle is set to factory spec, but the timing curve may need to be adjusted. It being an electronic disty, I am unsure how to do that.)The alternator is not charging, and I think its because I don't have it hooked up correctly. (The few times I drove it I had an extra battery on board since that was my spark source)I will be happy to answer any questions or provide videos of the boat running/driving. It's a halfway finished full restoration of a very cool boat. Also, you cant beat the color.
