Correct Craft Mustang

OK, before I start the description of this great boat, let me explain a couple things: I know this is not prime boating season, but I figured I would just offer this boat for sale before I put it up for the winter and close up my summer residence. Please understand, the price of $5600 is FIRM! I thought about "playing the game" and asking $6800 to let people "beat me up", but I don't like games. This price represents selling the boat for $1500 less thanI have in it. If I can't do that, I will be happy to just keep it. Also, please understand that a $500 NON REFUNDABLE down payment is due immediately, with balance of $5100 due in bank wire transfer or cash within 7 days of purchase. Please do NOT ask me to deviate from these terms. Just remember, when a nice item like this comes up (few and far between) there is no bad time to buy!

Now that I've said that, let's get on with the boat: I am the second owner of this STUNNING 1973 Correct Craft Mustang 16ft speed boat. I bought it several years ago from the original owner on his 83rd birthday! This boat was kept in a heated basement garage when not actually in the water being used. It was always trailered to and from and NEVER sat overnight in the water or elements. Consequently, even at 41 years old, it looks better than many 3 or 4 year old boats I have seen! Gelcoat, chrome, interior, etc. all are bright and shiny! Just a few light marks as shown in photos on underside where boat has been on and off the trailer. Everything else is simply IMMACULATE! Gelcoat does not have any of the usual cracks or bubbles that you often see in older model boats. Upholstery is all original and still looks like new! Stringers, floor boards, and bilge are all original, extra clean, and not rotted like you often see.

This Mustang is one of only a few that was factory special ordered with the potent HOLMAN & MOODY high performance Ford 302 V8. For those of you who are unaware, Holman & Moody, based out of Charlotte, NC did high performance Ford products in the same vein as Carroll Shelby. Boats with these engines are VERY RARE. Immaculate survivors like this are even rarer! Motor is all original, and looks and runs awesome! Velvet drive transmission also performs beautifully. Instruments and accessories all work.

Original Correct Craft trailer is also in great shape with excellent tires, wheel bearings, bearing buddies, and working lights. Boat was trailered 500 miles recently with no issues. I also have a custom made full mooring cover that goes to the water line. It is only 2 years old, and is still excellent!

Also, I have all books, papers, service receipts etc. for this boat since the day it was new! Also even have picture of original owner with boat the day it was new! Don't miss this rare opportunity to own a truly amazing piece of history!

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A. Buyer is responsible for obtaining and paying for transportation. Must be picked upby September 25th unless other arrangements are made in advance. I leave for my winter home on that date. Storage and/or later pickupcan be arranged if you need more time, but we must make plans in advance. Boat must still be paid for within 7 days of auction's end.

B. Every effort is made to describe item fairly, honestly, and accurately. However, item is used and sold as-is, where is.

F. Boat, trailer, and papers will not be allowed to leave here until funds for payment clear my bank

G.We have transferrable paperwork in hand for boat with no liens. Trailer is sold on a bill of sale and registration.
