Correct Craft Atom Skier

Beautiful 1963 Atom Skier, Completely restored. I have owned this boat, except for a couple of years, since 1981. Has been shown twice at the Traverse Antique Boat show. I just can't use the boat where I live. The saltwater would kill it.

The 312 Y block was completely overhauled. It is the B7ME block. I still have one of the engine bearings from Oct 1962. Fuel pump and carbs rebuilt. The boat runs out great. I have two props for the boat. 1 is from Jeff Titus, of Performance Propellers.

The boat has new transom and deck wood. The rest of the boat is original materials. The upholstery is original from 1963 and is in near perfect condition.

The boat was restored with System3 products. The bottom has 2 layers of biaxial weave fiberglass with epoxy. You really can't tell it has a glass bottom. The only thing I have left for the new owner is, the boat has not been finish sanded and buffed. If you look close, you can still see some brush strokes. I wanted the topcoat to cure for a while before final sanding, and I just have not gottenback to it.

The boat will also include a pair of panels I made to simulate a front seat only runabout. Correct Craft offered a stock race boat in the 1960s, but according to people at Correct Craft, none were ever built. The panels quickly install after removing the stock rear seat and engine dog box. It really changes the look of the boat.

If the auction price passes $8,500 Iwill include all left overspare parts. Basically all the marine parts for the Y Block. Extra carbs, manifolds mounts transmission partsetc.

I am also willing to deliverthe boat within 100 miles if I95 and I 75 on Thursday Aug 20. I have to be in Detroit for the hydroplane races on the weekend, so anywhere in that direction is possible. It will be $500 none refundable deposit and $.30 per mile. If the boat does not meet your expectations I will haul it to Detroit
