Hatari is a gorgeous 1962 Correct Craft Aqua Skier named after the same year John Wayne film or Swahili for "She's Bad" and this boat fits the name well. Everything works. Engine is all original and runs extremely well- 215 HP Marine Interceptor which is a Ford 289 block. Boat does an honest 40 mph and sounds awesome. All gauges and lights work like new, I had the boat on anchor for 5 days this summer and no issues with water leakage at all- she does not have to "soak"- just put her in the water and tie her up with out any worry of water leakage. Hatari is great to water ski behind- the best water ski boat I have every owned (wake is small and perfect and the boat tracks really well). Boat is not perfect and has a few small bumps and bruises - look at the photos for details but overall she is constantly getting praise and questions every time I take her out. She looks great and has been completely redone in 2006-2008 from the ground up, all new interior, decking, instrumentation rebuilt, wiring redone, and engine completely rebuilt. Boat has about 200 hours on her since the $33,000 overhaul (I have all the documentation and receipts). Trailer is great- she has been from Colorado to Michigan twice with no issues on the road but could use new tires in the not too distant future. Top is a great custom cover. She does great in Lake Michigan and can handle Lake Michigan swells and then do just as well at altitude in the Colorado Lakes. I have the starboard smokers window that is missing in one of the photos and just have to remount it back on. Oil always changed at the end of the season and motor just recently had a full tune up with an electronic ignition added. Fresh copper bottom paint this summer as well. Transmission is super smooth and shifts on the tree on the steering column with a standard side mounted throttle. A great boat that I will truly miss but needs a new home as my family wants to wake surf behind a more modern day less thrilling fiberglass boat with no soul.

Questions
Hey, Hatari looks pretty sweet! My son and his wife live in Louisville, and we have a cabin on Lake George in the Adirondacks, where we have a 1998 AirTique that we're looking to sell and replace. What are you asking for her? Curious to know how much work she needs annually.....I never had a wooden boat, and have a feeling it's a lot of upkeep. Love the look though......I was born in '53, so a '62 is near and dear to my heart! LOL
Thanks for your response,
