Cobalt Condessa

This Cobalt is in spectacular condition. We've started at the propeller, working through the entire stern drive, having replaced the lower unit's raw water impeller, fresh synthetic gear lube, complete transom assembly service, including replacement of the drive, exhaust bellows, lower shift cable & bellows, such that you won't have to have those maintenance items serviced again for many years. Whilst inspecting the lower stern drive's internal components, we noticed that the bearings and gears appeared as though they've never been run. . . its hour meter shows about 180 hours, and we believe it to be accurate. Its previous sole owner shared with us that his former marina failed to have winterized the original engine, such that it now has an entirely replaced new 454 "long block" installed with but just approximately 5 hours of initial operation on it.

Although this boat is being offered on an "as is, where is" basis, I am quite willing to negotiate providing the buyer with a written warranty as to the continuing serviceability and operability of the Mercruiser 454 engine and stern drive system, if not just about anything else pertaining to the boat, that you would want to additionally have covered.

The boat's seats and cushions are soft and supple, and match the rest of the boat's unusually nice overall condition. We've gone over all of the boat's extensive teak work, and it looks as sharp as everything else matching its condition.

Please Note:

The boat's title has a "lien holder" listed on it from a security interest dating back to its first purchase circa 1987 - the financial institution has long since gone out of business such that I know of no way to obtain their release now that there remains no continuing liability of a loan obligation. I will provide the purchaser with a sworn affidavit and agreement indemnifying them from incurring any future liability for the long since expired security agreement. Common sense ought to prevail with your understanding that between a 7 year statute of limitations, and the fact that no bank would tolerate keeping open a loan from 1987 to the present 2014 time frame, plus the fact that the institution has long before gone completely out of its existence, aside from its remaining noted on the otherwise clear title instrument, you will not have any issues arising from their being found listed on the boat's title as an original secured party of interest.

The trailer is included, and custom fits the hull rather perfectly. You will want to plan on replacing the tires, as though they still have plenty of tread, they show their years of having become weather checked, now necessitating the need for their eminent replacement. If you would prefer for us to get the tires replaced prior to your arrival, we are able to obtain great tires at a wholesale price, and would be willing to work with you in any and all regards as to both getting them replaced, as well as cleaning and repacking the 4 wheel's bearings, hubs and races so that you would know you could drive the trailer to California, if required, without worry about mechanical failure of anything on the trailer's running gear in that process.

A special note about the boat's delivery options: I am planning on making a trip from Wisconsin to Connecticut around the first week in August, such that IF you contact me prior to completing its purchase, I am willing to negotiatewith you what all might become involved in my considering to simply just bring the boat & trailer along with me, such that I could deliver it right to your doorstep, if you're located anywhere even remotely near what would be my usual route needing to be so under taken.
