***** PLEASE VIEW THE 50 LARGE PHOTOS BELOW THIS AD******This listing is for a LOW HOUR freshwater used 1988 Cobalt 21 Bowrider with Volvo Penta V8 and the very desirable Dup-prop sterndrive. This boat was used this summer and just hauled out by us. The battery died a couple weeks ago and the bilge filled with just enough water to get the starter motor wet. You can see a line in the bilge that isn't very high at all but enough to ruin the starter motor. The previous owner was done for the season and decided not to repair it as he had plans to purchase a newer boat. We are selling this boat for a third party and our description is based on our visual observations during inspection and previous owners statements. THE TRAILER SHOWN IS NOT INCLUDED OR FOR SALE. It is our yard trailer that we picked the boat up on. ***** We found that there is power getting to the starter but it will not work. The trim and tilt works fine and most everything seems to power up on the boat otherwise. There is no battery as the previous owner just replaced it this summer and decided to keep for his new boat. The engine oil is clean and the engine turns over by hand just fine. We did not investigate further and are selling as is. Cosmetically it is in good shape and all original. Only 392 original hours which is super low. No bottom paint and always lake used since new. Gelcoat is in good shape and would buff up to a nice original gloss. There is a few areas of dock rash and some scrapes here and there. Interior is clean. The cockpit cushions have a seam or two that need repair but are nice and soft still with minimal sunfading. The rear seat looks like it was replaced very recently. The decks are all rock solid other that the edges next to the ski locker. They are getting soft and the previous owner put a removable piece of varnished plywood over the deck in that area (see photos). It's only a couple inches on either side of the teak hatch. We have reasonable delivery rates if needed. We are also a new trailer dealer if you would like one. A new aluminum trailer for this boat will run $3000.00.
