Purchased new from the Cobalt dealership in July of 2014, a year ago. This 302 was manufactured in 2012, however it was used by Cobalt for corporate marketing and was not made available for purchase until 2014 - I am the first and only owner. You can see the actual boat I am selling on the corporate Cobalt website, it is still used today in all of Cobalts marketing: http://www.cobaltboats.com/our_boats/302/index.php#.VSxH2md0yUk
All new Cobalts come with a full 5 year warranty that transfers from owner to owner, the warranty starts when the boat is purchased, thus this 302 has a full 4 years of warranty remaining on everything. Purchasing a Cobalt is similar to buying a Mercedes or BMW, they take care of everything. I had the boat serviced by Cobalt at 50 hours, it currently has 80 hours total.
Because Cobalt built this boat for marketing it has all the options including the largest engines you can get in a Cobalt, twin Volvo GXI 420 PHP. Very few Cobalt 302s have 840 PHP, this boat is big, smooth, luxurious, and very fast!
I did extensive research before I purchased this Cobalt. I read every report, I watched all the videos, and most importantly, I went and drove all the boats. I drove Sea Ray, Bayliner, Chaparral, Formula, Mastercraft, along with several others. The decision was easy, anyone who has driven a Cobalt understands the difference. They may be more expensive but worth every penny.
As an example, when you make asharp long turn in the competitors boats you must increase the throttle to maintain the speed, theCobaltremains constant with no throttle changes.Everyone who has experience with multiple manufactures all agree the Cobalt is the smoothest, safest, and quickest hall design in its class. My Cobaltwill run 10mph faster than the competitors, slow down to 35mph and you have a smooth, quite, easy running boat that is stable and enjoyable for everyone on board.
I bought the boat to tow my kids and grand-kidson their wake boards, the heavy twin creates a perfect wake they love! The 302 is a big boat, but it turns on a dime and jumps out of the water when you hit the throttles. The twin engines make it easy to load on the trailer or pull up to a dock. I never want to go back to a single engine again.
The boat was $259,838.00 + taxes new, I planned on keeping this boat the rest of my life, I also planned on staying married. Unfortunately a divorce is forcing a fast sale the first person to pay me $150,000 is going to get an amazing bargain. Please keep in mind, this sale also comes with a high end trailer with less than 10 miles on it.
Obviously the factory showcase 302 is loaded with options. It has upgraded carpet, the patented swim platform that drops down into the water, the vacuflush toilet, the premium sound (I have never heard better!), the windlass power anchor, a fridge, Color GPS, the SS Arch with Hard Top, swim transom lighting, remote courtesy lights with the key fob, on and on and on. It also has all thecushions to fill in the front area along with a number of great features like a built in air pumpwhen you want to towsomeone on a tube. This boat is loaded, it is like new, has full warranty, and......everything you would ever want or dream of in a family boat including a shore power connection and 110 on the boat.
It has been kept inside and out of the water since it was new. It also has the salt water kit, but I have only used the boat on the lake where it is stored.
There are only a few good deals that come along in life, this is your moment if you area real buyer.
