I ordered this boat new from the Cobalt factory in late summer 2003 and have owned and maintained the boat since it's delivery from Cal-Marine. I have all the manuals and warranty cards which I will include with the sale. The hull color is Mahogany with White accents. The boat is highly optioned and in like new condition as it has been lovingly maintained. Those options are: Black Cherry Canvas Bimini Top, Bow Tonneau Cover, Cockpit Tonneau Cover; Sharks Skin Mooring Cover; Wood Dash Trim Package; Depth & Water/Air Temp Gauge; Premium Sound System - 6 Sony Speakers, Fosgate Sub-Woofer, Sub-Woofer Amp, Head Unit Amp, Sony Xplode Radio/CD with Equalizer, Hand Held Remote, Fixed Stereo Remotes at Transom and Dash; Air Compressor; Transom Shower; Docking Lights; Motorbox Actuator; Motorbox Tool Kit; Automatic Engine Bay Fire Extinguisher; Telescoping Anchor Light; Transom Stern Drive Tilt Switch; Aft Walk Through Carpet; Aft Walk Through Filler Cushions; Bow Cushion Insert; Dinette Table; Passenger Captain's Chair; Pump Out Porta Potti; Captain's Call Through Hull Exhaust; Trim Tabs; MerCruiser 496 Mag/375 hp with Bravo III Dual Prop Stern Drive.
This was a top of line Cobalt 246 model when I ordered it and I've tried to keep the boat operating and looking like the day it wash delivered. On calm water properly trimmed the boat has a top speed of 60 to 62 mph. The hull is very stable at that speed but the 496 Mag MerCruiser gets very thirsty cruising above 45 mph. The engine has plenty of torque and hp for water sports too. There are plentiful storage compartments for gear built into the boat including a built in cooler under one of the rear salon cushions. The combination of power, seating/bow lounge area and awesome sound system make this boat a perfect day cruiser.
The Eagle Trailer was ordered new with the boat and painted at the factory to match the hull color. It has four 2 yr old Goodyear tires and is a bunk style carrier. I replaced the rear taillights with LED lamps this past summer, all lights on the trailer are operational. The trailer is equipped with tongue pressure activated disc brakes. I am able to launch and retrieve the boat on my own. The Gills Rocket has provided me many hours/years of fun, adventure and relaxation on the water and I'm sure it will you too. Pictures don't do this boat justice it must be seen to fully appreciate what a beautiful and well cared for boat this is.
The boat is currently winterized and in indoor storage at Yacht Works, Inc in Sister Bay, WI (the boat has always been store inside during the winter). If you'd like to keep the boat in storage at Yacht Works until Spring after a sale I'm sure we can arrange to have my winter storage contract transferred to the purchaser. I am selling the boat in as in condition with no implied warranty.
The purchaser is responsible for picking up and transporting the boat and trailer. Payment for purchase can be made via a Certified Cashiers Check or Cash. I do have the full service history of the boat and that could be negotiated into the sale.
