This is a Relatively new build of a1953 Vintage Clark Craft hydroplane design hull with a low hr 2011 Seadoo 4-tech 255hp supercharged inter-cooled 4 cycle inboard.
It has been fitted with a direct drive prop as most are, using a Detroit clutch & gear specially designed, manufactured, and high speed balanced PTO coupling. The drive shaft is high tensile stainless, with a billet 3 blade bronze prop designed and machine by the manufacturer of unlimited hydros.
Its approx. 17ft OAL wood hull assembled with resorcinol epoxy and stainless screws. The entire boat is covered in fiberglass fabric and resin. Polyurethane single part marine paint was used for trim colors and UV tolerant urethane on wood areas.
The exhaust elbow is a custom fabricated double wall stainless tube ,water cooled. The outlet pipe is water injected.
There is a closed loop coolant engine cooling system as originally made by Seadoo. A raw water pickup and heat ex-changer is under the rear cowl and flows thru the exhaust manifold on the engine, and super charger inter-cooler.
The fuel tank , engine mount brackets, component brackets, and throttle pedal are fabricated from aluminum.
This boat took many years to create and completed last year, test run only at home using a water supply. All functions worked properly. It has never been place in the water.
The included trailer was modified for this hull and proper axle position C.G. I towed from Michigan to FL without issue.
I am the creator and builder of this very unique craft but have decided to for go actually running it. I have painstakingly created every part of this boat and many 2 or 3 times to achieve the best and most reliable solutions.
Its estimated to achieve 80-90 mph depending on final tuning and prop adjustments.
Again this has only been tested with a water supply and sold as experimental.
I have a couple of running videos that I may be able to email. I pumped out all the fuel and fogged the cylinders and will only run it again after receiving a partial or full payment. I will take as much time with the buyer at pick up to relay as much info as possible.I have lots of photos from the first bulkhead assembles thru to completion.including many of the builds I discarded and remade. Ask me anything prior to committing to buy.
Sold as is for obvious reasons.
