Several years back I answered an ad for a guy selling a 340 engine and was told I had to take it out of a boat. He tells me Chrysler made 340 powered speedboats... I never knew it. Anyway, I never owned a boat and this was too nice to junk so I thought it would look cool restored and towed behind one of my vintage MoPars. After spending several years going thru it I finally got it in the water and came to realize that while I'm a MoPar guy, I'm not a boat guy. This needs a good home. The engine has been rebuilt top to bottom and includes all new manifolds and risers, the Volvo 270T was gone thru by a boat mechanic because I'd never been inside an outdrive. The fuel tank was removed and flushed and the sending unit rebuilt. The interior was redone with new upholstery including the foam and wooden support framing on the floor. We had new original style blue windows made to replace the sun crazed originals. With the exception of the custom Chrysler Conqueror S-III graphics and the 340 callout decals on the hood, everything is painted striping. Beautiful 1970's style heavy metallic blue highlights really pop in the sunshine. The original trailer was powder coated. All brakes, lamps and wiring replaced, new tires on 15 inch Chrysler road wheels. If the speedometer is accurate the boat runs 50mph with the currently installed propeller. I have another propeller of a different size that came with the boat.I might consider an interesting MoPar trade. Serious inquiries please PM so we can connect and I can answer any questions. I hate to be rude but it's got to be said; No tire kickers, low-ballers or dreamers. Of course you can get on the lake with a much less expensive boat, but that's not the point is it?Keywords : This would look great towed behind a 1964 1965 1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 Chrysler Town & Country 300 Newport New Yorker Dodge Charger Challenger Coronet R/T Monaco Polara Dart Demon Plymouth Road Runner GTX Satellite Fury Barracuda 'Cuda powered by Small or Big Block 318 340 360 383 400 413 426 or 440

Hi did you ever sell the S-III boat? I would be interested in tracking it down.
I currently tow a Conqueror 115 behind a 69 Superbee.
Thanks, Pat
