Chris Craft XK 22

Hi, youre looking at a 1975 Chris Craft XK 22. The XK 22 is one of only 220 boats ever made, from 1971 to 1975. It is a ruggedly built boat and will handle almost any waters youd put her in. She is 229 long and 78 beam, weighing 3300 pounds. The XKs were originally designed by famed offshore racing champion, Jim Wynne. Jim patented the lifting strake and designed several of the new fiberglass boats for Chris Craft.

The XK 22 has both a Deep V hull and lifting strakes, which makes this a very stable boat. Dick Avery designed the interior and the look of the boat. Dick was recruited to Chris Craft in the 60s from Ford in Detroit He was on the original design team for the Ford Mustang. So the boat has that Muscle Car feel to it and frankly, there is not another one like her on the water.

My XK 22 has gone through a complete renovation. I had the boat completely stripped down and painted. Any fiberglass dings were expertly repaired. The boat was primed and painted with AwlGrip paint. A new stainless steel rub rail was installed at the same time. New upholstery (front seats) were done. Mechanically, there is a brand new rebuilt 350 CI engine with 5 hours on it. A new 4 barrel Edelbrock carb was installed, as was a new starter, dual batteries with switch, trim pump, fuel system completely serviced, including 60 gallon fuel tank cleaning, new shifting mechanism and the list goes on and on. There is a full sun pad on the rear and a beautiful teak swim platform with stainless steel ladder. The Volvo outdrive works like a charm and has full tilt/trim. The boat has new shag carpeting, thats right, shag! The boat was delivered with shag carpeting in the 1970s (remember the Shag Revolution?)

This boat looks new and is a real head-turner. It runs perfectly and is a true collectors boat--one that should be used, not put in a museum! Included in the sale is a trailer with tandem axles.
