1967 Chris Craft Super Sport 18
Itll Do with custom made Searra Trailer
This boat spent most of its life on Lake George, NYin the Adirondacks, but wassparsely used. The boat has only 305 original hrs. since new. The engine is the original Chris Craft (Chevrolet)327 cubic inch marine motor that puts out 210 hp, rated at 48 mph. The boat went through a complete restoration (2008-2009) by a well-known boat restorer in Warrensburg, NY near Lake George- Paul Jordan. The boat has not been back in the water since. The interior is completely original. The engine compartment still has the original ID tags and Chris Craft labels. The boat comes with new, custom made cover and Biminy top. The sale also includes extensive original documentation- original Owners Manual, Operators Manual, Wiring Diagram, original Chris Craft Flag, Advertising, original Envelope, as well as dozens of restoration pictures and receipts, boat specifications sheets and a copy of original packing receipt showing that the boat was shipped to Hudson Bay Marina in Hudson, NY. All this information is neatly organized in a professional 3-inch binder with individual plastic sheet covers. Also included are the original wooden water skis, and oars.
The boat is in excellent condition. There are two (2) bilge pumps- one automatic and one manual. The cover and biminy top are new and in excellent condition. The original interior does have a minor issue with two seams on the inboard of the seats that have opened approx. 2". The material is not torn, as it is separated at the piping. The hull and paint are mint. The lettering for hull number and boat name, Itll Do, are genuine gold leaf paint done by a professional artist. The engine is always winterized in the off-season and serviced. Engine starts every time and sounds great. This boat rides great and sounds even better. These '67 Super Sports are rare,as this was the last year they were made of Philippine Mahogany. The'68 model was fiberglass, thus the low '67 model year production numbers. Two Walnut ("euro-watertaxi" lightbrown) stained '67 SS'snow reside in Italy, which leaves only 6 red-mahog possibilities left inThe States. To find one from the original owner (I am 2nd owner) with only 300+ hours is even rarer. This boat has never been shown, or had any boat club association, so you can be the first. I anticipate no disappointments.
The Searra Trailer was custom designed and manufactured (2013) specifically for this boat. It is a single axle with adjustable bunk rails, custom front guide rails and winch. The boat and trailer is always stored indoors, under cover.
