If you've always wanted a fine vintage Chris Craft mahogany speedboat and didn't want to pay the high prices, here is your chance to own one. I'm only selling this boat because I need the money and I've come to the conclusion I'm not going to be using it anymore, too many other interests now. And apparently this is a real bargain because there is another one on classifieds board right now and the guy is asking 57,000 for it!! I've owned this boat since 1991, the one previous owner was an elderly guy that gave it exceptionally good care, always stored inside a garage, just like I have. In 2003 it was completely refinished, with West system UV epoxy coat and over that several coats of Epifanes varnish. As can be seen by the pics, due to the finish quality and the care it has received it has held up quite well over the years. At that time it was reupholstered with marine grade materials, high density marine grade foam was used. The hull is very sound and during the restoration with the whole interior removed the whole inside of the hull was trested liberally with CPES Cmyth's penetrating epoxy sealer. The dash is rare Bosse burl wood. The fore and aft deck is teak and holly under Epifanes. The last time it was used was in 2008, but I put a battery on it and spin it over every year or two to keep the engine from sticking. The starter was rebuilt in around 2007 about the time it was winterized and stored where it's been ever since. It's dusty from sitting inside the garage and why it looks sort of dull. The trailer is included of course and I have new hubs/bearings and wagon wheel rims and tires to go on it. I removed the old ones to keep any one from stealing it. This boat is a real head turner at the lake, it draws lots of attention and it showed well at some of the shows I had it at. It sounds incredible with the dual wet exhaust right at the water line. Never had any problems with leaks or anything like that. This isn't a restoration project, it's all been done and done the right way. Keep it in a dry enclosure during the winter and she'll last many many years more. These Chris Craft Speed boats were the prototype for the MasterCraft ski boats. It is an excellent boat to water ski behind and tubing etc, lots of low end torque for getting people out of the water, top speed is about 40. The engine is original, I've never needed to do anything to it, but change oil and tune it occasionally - it's a Chevy. It was winterized with anti-freeze when put up. The windshield is made of solid stainless steel, all of the hardware on this boat is either bronze or stainless, NO chrome plated pot metal, aluminum or plastic junk on it. Transmission works perfectly, it has a new bronze prop on it. The long bronze chrome plated forward reverse shifter is in the floor. If I remember correctly all the gauges work, but the tachometer needs a new cable - easy to get. I added a fuel gauge to it as it never had one and I ran out of fuel a few times. It definitely needed one, the fuel tank is 20 gallons. Payment is expected at the end of the auction. The boat can be retrieved here in Redford, Mi at an agreed upon meeting time. No interested in any trades, this boat is being sold at a very low price and probably won't last long. I hate to see her go, but it's time. Spring will be here before ya know it.

Questions
Hello, I am not familiar with this website and did not know if this offering was via a auction or direct sale with the owner. I am very interested if the boat is still available. Thank you.

I'm very interested and likely heading to Michigan for another (larger boat) viewing fairly soon and would love to see if still for sale. It would be great towed behind my 64 (or 52) Chevy pick up - I also have a 67 Pontiac Acadian but it's probably too heavy for it.
Please call ***
Is this boat still available?
Thanks
