I always thought this would be a great woodworking project and restoration project. But after many years of thinking about it, I finally decided to let it go. What's great about these Sportsman boats is the open cockpit, which makes them great for water skiing. If you look at the hull design, you can see that this was one of the first "modern" hull designs, leading to the Ski Nautique, etc. The platform on the back is great for getting skiers or swimmers out of the water. Has the original giant V8 engine (a Lincoln, I think?). -- The trailer is worth the starting auction price, so hopefully this is a decent deal and somebody will give all of this a new future.-- One of the tires on the trailer has gone flat. It will need to be repaired before the boat can be moved. Please don't ask me to do this; I really don't have time to mess with it at all, I'm sorry.Sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS in Boise, Idaho.
