You are looking at a 15 1/2 foot 1938 Chris Craft Runabout Utility. One of just 70 built that year. The hull was rebuilt, the entire boat sanded and varnished in 1990. From the waterline up is original wood. The interior also was made new with correct materials in 1990. The Hull was covered with a layer of fiberglass from the water line down. The gaps in the interior side planking aren't completely even because the man who rebuilt it chose to sand down the few rough edges rather than replace the planks to preserve it's originality. The motor, not original but the correct 4 cyl. model B Hercules, was rebuilt in 2004. Since the boats renovation, it has NOT been used! I had my local marina hoist it into the water where it floated for a couple of hours with no signs of leaks. I was unable to take it for a ride because the battery decided to be dead, and at that point, I just wasn't in the mood to deal with it, so I pulled it back home where it still sits (inside) waiting to get wet. The battery has been replaced. Also, it is still running on it's 6 volt system.
I have routinely lubed, cranked, and started it to ensure it's condition remained strong.
Trailer included, but is not wired for lights. No warranty expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for pickup/shipping.Please feel free to ask any questions or schedule a time to view/inspect the boat prior to bidding. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding.Note...The fenders on the trailer are no longer on there. I broke one off while backing into the garage (didn't quite make the hole) so I removed the other as well.
