Project Boat-Selling my 1936 16 ft. Chris Craft Double Cockpit Forward. I'm one year into the restoration process. The boat is rare (about 150 models built). Most of the hard work has been done. All work has been done correctly to original specs with proper leveling, silicone bronze screws and bolts, steam bending, 5200 between all joints, and Smiths clear penetrating epoxy. The new owner can pick between a 5200 bottom or an epoxy bottom. I have history on the boat and have communicated with three of the previous owners going back to into the 70's. The boat has all the covering boards, bottom planking, and seats for templating. I have extensive photo documentation and receipts which I will provide. All chrome shown has been rechrome.Divorce forces sale. Here's what I have done to the boat:-All new white oak frames, CPES and 5200-New bow gripe-New stern (steam bent)-New scarfed engine stringer (through bolted)-Steam bent rails and installed and grooved to accept covering boards-Installed new Philippine mahogany keel and routed at the correct angle to accept covering boards-Replaced 6 ribs.-All parts shown have been re-chromed.-Have purchased new bow light, plastic lens, not re-chromed.-Instrument panel needs to be restored.-Boat has two Chris Craft "B" engines. The main engine is a 1955 and is a conventional bearing engine, the second is a Babbitt bearing engine and can be used for parts. Main engine needs restoration, but is in good condition.-There are two heads & three manifolds. (Very hard to find?)-Boat has steering wheel, working rudder post and rudder, lifting rings and fitting, most interior seat parts for templating.-I have a new gallon of correct Mahogany color Repco-Lite Floor Enamel bilge paint. ~$100-I will include all purchased silicone bronze screws for the new bottom planking ~$500.-The boat trailer is in working condition.-Everything is in the boat and ready to tow.All work has been done correctly and ready for the next step. I have detailed before and after pictures of the entire restoration process and will provide.Johnphone(text or call)
