Rare 1941 Chris Craft 18' Deluxe Utility Runabout!Just Relisted! The auction winner never contacted us or paid, so you have another chance to own this beautiful boat!If you messaged us about the previous listing, please accept my apologies for an out-of-control spam filter. I'll be checking it daily for the duration of this auction! There's nothing like being in one of these mahogany boats on the water! It's luxury! This is a beautiful boat that has been in our family for almost 40 years and was handled with care. This boat was bought to be enjoyed, and we sure did that the last time we had her in the water! In 1998 extensive engine and electrical work was performed on the boat, including carburetor kit, rotor, fuel pump, new battery, head gasket, intake valves, wire set, valve cover gasket, etc. At that time she was soaked and the marina reported that she "soaked up very nice"; with minimal leakage that was easily handled by the bilge pump. This is not to be construed as a warranty, just a statement of the condition in 1998.We had her out in the water in 1998, then the marina prepped the engine for storage. Since then she has been stored in our garage. The 1998 work was performed by Sayre Brothers Marine in Buckeye Lake, Ohio. This boat is definitely not in show condition, but is in significantly better condition than most boats we've seen listed as "Project Boats." See below for more specifics on the condition. Please message me for higher resolution images of the boat.Included in the sale are the stern flag, misc. bumpers, documentation (clear title and miscellaneous paperwork on the boat), and the trailer.Pickup of the boat will be in Dublin, OhioThe boat will need to be picked up within 20 days of the end of the auction. If buyer wishes the boat to be shipped, all shipping arrangements and costs shall be the responsibility of the buyer. We can communicate with shipping company, but will not be responsible in any way for claims arising from shipping damage. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after the boat leaves our possession. Any claims or other communication regarding shipment will be between the buyer and the shipper, not with the seller.Full payment is due 7 days from the end of the auction. Deposit required through PayPal within 48 hours of the close of the auction as listed. We cannot warranty the boat, trailer, or any parts, since any vintage vehicle is always a project in some way. Please note this before bidding. This boat will need work before it can be used. At minimum it will need to be soaked and have its engine prepped for use. If you are not familiar with the process of swelling the wood of a mahogany boat, please research this before bidding. The boat and trailer are being sold strictly "as-is," with no set-aside for problems or issues. The buyer will be required to sign a bill of sale stating that this boat and trailer are being purchased "as-is."Some Details:
- The boat is on the trailer, but the wiring of the trailer and tires are suspect due to age. Tires show cracking and one of the four does not hold air.
- There is a spare trailer tire in the boat, but its condition is unknown.
- The windshield looks correct, but is a Plexiglas reproduction.
- Chris Craft Model K Engine
- There is one dashboard gauge missing.
- There is a cover on the boat. It is dusty and old, but is functional for indoor storage.
