Chris Craft Deluxe Runabout

• My boat did not sell in the bidding process, but was very close to the reserve. After some thought on my part, I concluded it might be easier and of less expense to sell it now at the reserve less the cost of the personal property tax due in a couple month, renewing the insurance, having it winterized and stored now and then having it serviced in the spring. Therefore I have decided to list the boat "for sale" @ $18,750.

I purchased the boat the spring of 2006 from a retired Doctor in Woodland Lake, Mich. whose father has purchased it new in 1949. You could say I am the third owner of the boat, but actually I am the second owner.

The Doctor had the boat completely rebuild about three years before I purchased it. Some ribs were replaced as well as the bottom. The engine was rebuild. The electrical system was converted to a 12 volt prior to my purchase of the boat. The interior was redone and new cushions fitted for the seats. The only new work I had done was to install a blower in the engine compartment.

The boat was always kept in the boat house at the Doctors lake home.

As the Doctor aged, his children were not comfortable with him taking the boat out by himself. This is when he decided to list the boat for sale.

I had the boat professionally refinished in the winter/spring 2015.

The boat runs well, fun to take out and is in very, very good condition.

After reaching the conclusion the Leesville Lake, VA is not the best lake for a classic Chris Craft, I have decided to put it up for sale. I feel confidante that the buyer will have many, many seasons of pleasure with the purchase of this boat.
