1969 Vintage Chris Craft 22' Fiberglass Cutlas Cavalier w/Indmar 250 V8Hull ID # FVA22045Clear Florida title in handI believe that this is the first year that this hull design was available in fiberglass. It has the classic look and lines of the famous wood boat with the durability and the lack of maintenance requirements of the wooden models. This classic design Chris Craft is in overall good condition and appears to be complete. Most of the restoration labor has already been accomplished and it is in primer and ready for paint in your choice of colors. The boat has been sitting. I pulled the plugs and fogged the cylinders with WD40. It turns freely with the starter. There are receipts for engine work. I don't think that it has been in the water since. The prop and prop shaft have been removed to fit the boat on an outboard type trailer. I do not have a trailer but can assist loading with a fork lift.Comes with the original sales brochure, factory owners manual, engine owner's manual and warranty cards. It also comes with a folder full of receipts. The cabin divider has been removed on the left side and the rt side one that houses the gauges and teleflex steering box has some delamination. Both should be replaced with teak. The receipts show that two white oak engine bed rails were purchased along with new exhaust hoses but I don't think they were installed. There is deterioration on the ends the engine bed timbers and they should be replaced. It looks like it is a pretty strait forward task that would not require any special skills or tools. There are no seats and the old pump out toilet has been removed. The holes for it will have to be plugged. I assume most would install a newer chemical toilet if they wanted one. The prop is in good condition and the stainless shaft looks useable but does have some pitting. The Morse engine and transmission controls are free as is the steering. Wiring appears OK and intact. Hobbs hour meter shows a little over 800 hours. The windshields and frames are not installed and are in good condition. The stainless rails are also not installed and are in good condition. All of the mounting holes have been filled and glassed over so they can get installed with fresh hardware after the boat is painted. The rub rails are also removed and are included. The Bimini type top frame is in good condition and included. The canvas is missing. The paint prep work looks well done with feathered glazing putty and the surface feels very smooth when running your hands over it. The floor boards and interior sides are prepped for paint also. The engine box looks like new and is well fabricated. The lid looks original. The boat is located at Earle Airpark in Hastings Fl and is available for inspection anytime. It is about 15 miles south west of St. Augustine Fl. Not far from interstate 95.Buyer can take up to two weeks to pick it up or longer with prior arrangements. This versatile Chris Craft should only appreciate in value. There has not been many major improvements since this design. It is a very useable and easy to maintain classic. If you buy a newer boat it will drop in value dramatically. This sweet boat will draw attention and admiration every where you go. It is a timeless classic! For sale to the highest bidder with no reserve.Feel free to contact me for additional pictures, videos or questions. I may start it tomorrow and post a video of it running. New info:I tracked down the person that donated it to the Boys Ranch. He informed me that he was the second owner and had acquired it from his uncles estate. He said that he removed the original Chevy and installed the Indmar new in about 1988. He said it was a much better performer with the Indmar installed. He also told me that it was the most ocean worthy and best handling small boat hull design that he had ever ridden in.
