Chris Craft Crowne 282

To start off and to be clear, there are two versions of the Crowne 282; the under-powered single engine, and the twin-engine version. So please, when researching and doing your due diligence, make certain that you are comparing apples to apples.

Up for auction is the twin-engine with OMC High Out-Put, 5.0 liter engines that run great. The port engine has approximately 525 hours on it, and the starboard has approximately 635 hours. I purchased new four-blade props a couple of years ago, and there still in like-new condition, without even so much as a nick on them. I, also, still have the original three-blade stainless steel props.Everything in the boat works as it should, except for the a/c. I bought the boat with the a/c broken, and never saw a need to have it repaired or replaced. There are two portholes on the roof of the boat, and the fore one is cracked (picture attached) but does not leak. Everything else on her is as it should be. It's a 20-year-old boat and has the normal wear and tear, but is in good condition.Included will be 3 blue dock lines, a new ship-to-shore radio, a working GPS unit, electric windlass, full camper top, bimini top, dock cover, shore power cable, v-berth, stateroom, head, galley with electric stove, microwave, refrigerator...I also have a like-new, aluminum I-beam, triple axle trailer that is not included in this auction, but is available for purchase. I purchased it so as to avoid having to take that dreaded trip up the river for storage every fall, and then back down the river in the spring and to Burnham Harbor here in Chicago. I do have someone interested in buying the trailer, but first choice goes to the winning bidder. If the winning bidder is interested, the trailer can be purchased for $4,000, firm.The boat is in the harbor now, and available for viewing, with advanced notice.The boat is for sale as-is, where-is, and must be removed from the harbor by the end of the boating season (31 Oct 2014, midnight).A $500 deposit must be sent by the winning bidder within 48 hours of the end of the auction and is non-refundable.
