Vessel Description:
A Class Act is a 42 ft wooden Chris Craft Constellation. The vessel has been idle for two years, covered with a full custom made canvas cover over the entire vessel, and then additional tarps over the canvas cover. As a result of the long period without use the vessel requires a fair amount of restoration both inside and out.
Pictures are eight to ten years old and do not represent the current condition of the vessel.
The cockpit is situated in the aft of the vessel inside a hard roof and glass enclosure. To the aft of the cockpit is the canvas enclosed lazarette that comfortably seats 4 persons.
The interior of vessel consists of a short vertical companion wooden stair leading from the cockpit to the interior of the vessel, with the galley on the starboard and the dining area on the port. The galley is large and consists of a three burner propane stove, running hot water, and large refrigerator. The dining area comfortably seats 4. The table also drops to form an additional sleeping area for two persons.
Forward is the head on the port, with a fully enclosed head and additional shower with hot water.
In the fore of the vessel is the forward berth which comfortably sleeps four and includes cabinet storage for clothes.
Vessel was completely rewired in 2007 with an all new electrical system, including new panels for both DC and AC power systems. Sale includes all items on board, including living systems such as toilets, stove, refrigeration and showers which work to the best of the knowledge of the buyer but current operability of all systems including electrical requires verification.
Power and drive:
-Vessel was established with two Chrysler 413 V8 gasoline engines. One engine has been partially removed for repairs. All parts from the partially removed engine are included with the sale. The second engine is in the vessel but viability is unknown; This motor shows a log of 3,167 hours.
(-Two Mitsubishi 6 cyclinder marine diesels available as an add to the sale. Please see add section following this listing.
-In addition, 2 identical chrysler 454 V8 marine engines including gear boxes are available with the purchase of the vessel for no additional cost. These motors are believed to be operational, but buyer must verify.)
-Engine room is fully assessable below cockpit, with ability to access all around both engines with almost standing height.
-Two drive shafts connected with two propellers. Marine Borg Warner model Velvet drive reduction gear. Ball valves installed to bronze through hull fittings with double stainless steel hose clamps. Status of drive systems unknown but believed to be ok, as they were operational when the engines last ran (two years ago).
-2 x Bennet electro hydraulic trim tabs.
-Gas tanks port and starboard. Each tank 26 diameter and 45 length.
Bridge / Lazarette:
-Fully enclosed bridge station with hard top roof and glass and wood enclosure. Double doors to access bridge station and companion way to drop into interior. Varnish and wood finishing required.
-Lazarette fully enclosed with canvas with durable clear poly windows. Seats four with aft deck handrails all around.
-Original Chris Craft gauges, drive levers and steering wheel bridge station. Roof mounted original half mile ray search light, rotates by hand through rooftop drive. Operability of items to be verified by buyer.
-Standard horizon VHF radio, Kelvin white 6 compass, Hummingbird model wide eye depth sounder & fish finder, AM/FM stereo with compact disc player. Operability of items to be verified by buyer.
Decks & Fittings:
-Mahogany planking bedded in Thiokol over plywood deck frames of 1 x 3 at 10 centers, decking requires refinishing .
-Wood stained Chris Craft flagship center vessel signal mast, with flag and anchor light. All navigation lights fully operational.
-Stainless steel bow pulpit and stainless steel deck cleats and hardware.
-Lofrans model Royal Major anchor windlass with capstan and wildcat but currently inoperable.
-Docklines and fenders.
-Fully covering vessel canvas cover fore to aft with support posts. Completely covers entire vessel for winter storage and protection from the elements.
Galley:
-Force 10 three burner propane stove. Propane system fully operational with two standard removable bottles located in the lazarette with propane lines installed to stove.
-Apartment sized refrigerator unit, without freezer.
-Washbasin and plenty of room for food preparation. Two people can comfortably work in the galley.
Head & Shower & Living systems:
-Lectra San Marine flow-thru waste treatment system. One head.
-Enclosed shower with curtain, hot & cold water lines movable shower head.
-Domestic fresh water system with 4 x 24 gallon tanks midships. Fresh water plumed throughout vessel with 12 VDC flojet pressure pump. Hot water through 110 VAC seaward S1200 11 gallon water heater tank. Verification of systems to be confirmed by buyer.
-Dickson model Alaska diesel fired cabin heater.
General Information:
-40 ft length on deck, 2 ft swim grid for total length of 42 ft.
-12 9 beam. 40 draft. 20,376 lbs displacement. Prior crusing speed of 15 knots.
-Double planked Philippine Mahogany hull, painted white. Hull identification number: X40522.
-Vessel license number: 13K 119453
-Sleeps six comfortably.
-Vessel is currently in the water in Deep Cove in North Vancouver, B.C. Canada.
