Complete Halon system in the engine room
hot water heater
pressure water system
a/c
bilge system
lighting
gauges
the boat also comes with a 4 cylinder generator, which is a hand crank
Kohler (They used in the Army) THis is a great feature as you don't need
batteries to start her. Brand new rebuilt magento. A brand new rebuilt carb but still needs a mechanic to go through the generator. 2 cylinders are showing no compression. The generator was sitting for quite a long time so it could be stuck valves at the least. It's just a cool feature . Not that any one around here would anchor out in the middle of nowhere over night but still nice to have
The boat makes a grand impression, Even at the dock, People can't help but stop and talk about her. People even remember her from the show, The Fugitive. It would be hard pressed to find another in this condition , and it is turn key It is a Wood Boat which means you will have to understand that there will always be work that has to be done. The underbelly is great! Most of the top side is great. There's a little cupping as to be expected. Just rebuilt both carbs and they are the quadrajets! this is where is as is condition. She will bnot have to be taken out of the water for a good 4-5 years for bottom painting!
She has had her port and starboard side decks sanded and
varnished and the deck at the bow also sanded down and varnished as well
as as the rear deck...Basically, all decks... Brand new L-shaped couch made and A Brand new Fire Place for ambiance as well as heat if you take her up North, Curtains, and a custom dinette
made. (These Cruisers were never big on interiors back then) I am also
having the counter tops re-done. SHe runs beautiful. I love they way She handles...You would think she would be tough to turn but she does it with ease and believe it or not...She will plane! She is docked in Sanibel Harbor. Electronics are depth
finder, radio,actual
radar remains on the roof .... We have the Survey from April 2013 that shows STRONG results with a
value of $70,000 and a replace from scratch at $400,000 and this was
before all the work we have done!!!
Here's a couple short videos we took on Friday. It was just to view dolphins but you can hear her run. Go to youtube and in the search bar, put in watch?v=xu3Npdb2MvU

Spellbound
A condition and valuation survey was conducted on the above referenced vessel to establish its approximate value and its suitability as a marine risk for insurance underwriter's purposes. Spellbound was inspected while hauled at Hurricane Cove Marina on the Miami River on December 8th, 2013.
This survey was conducted under the standards promulgated by the United States Coast
Guard, under the authority of title 46 United States Code (USC); Title 33 and 46, Code of
Federal Regulations (CFR), and the voluntary standards and recommended practices
developed by the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and the National Fire
Protection Association (NFPA) have been used as a guideline in the conduct of this
survey. This survey is to be used solely by present owner and should not be used by any
other parties to obtain Insurance or Pre-purchase decision making purposes.
I certify that, to the best of my knowledge and belief:
The statements of fact contained in this report are true and correct. I have no present or
prospective interest in the vessel that is the subject of this report, and I have no personal
interest or bias with respect to the parties involved. My compensation is not contingent
upon the reporting of a predetermined value or direction in value that favors the cause of
any of the interested parties, the amount of the value estimate, the attainment of a
stipulate result, or the occurrence of a subsequent event. I have made a personal
inspection of the vessel that is the subject of this report.
This report is submitted without prejudice and for the sole benefit of the party from
which account it was originally requested. This report does not constitute a warranty,
either expressed, or implied, nor does it warrant the future condition of the vessel. It is a
statement of the condition of the vessel at the time of survey only, and it must be noted
that the inspection was done with no destructive measures, and many areas might not be
readily visible or accessible for evaluation.
5.-GENERAL CONDITION AND VALUE
The above referenced vessel is a 1963 42' Chris Craft Constellation motor yacht.
Spellbound was found to be in Average structural and cosmetic condition at the time of
survey.
This vessel is a well-appointed vessel with all original equipment and would be
considered a classic antique vessel.
Market Value: Approx. $ 70,000 Replacement value: Approx. $ 400,000
The internal and external plankings of this double hull were found to be in sound condition and all planking as sighted were well adhered to her frames. The interior
has main frames on 13 centers and intermediate smaller frames on 13 centers which by
its construction supports her planks every 6 . The vessel is in the boatyard for general
maintenance and repairs. Her interior is comprised of partial bulkheads and accommodation partitions, where observed all fastenings were well adhered to the hull. All tankage appeared in good condition with no leakage in evidence. All electrical wiring was found to be in good condition with all branch circuits sighted protected from overload with breakers or fuses. All electrical systems, instruments and navigational components were operational with the exception noted below.
REMARKS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1. * All portable and fixed fire extinguishers should be re-certified annually.
2. * The fuel crossover valve was not fully operable and should be replaced.
3. * All electrical twist connectors should be replaced with mechanical butt type
connectors and all connections in the bilge area should be heat shrunk connectors.
4. * All hoses below the waterline should be double clamped and all aged hoses and
hose clamps should be replaced. Any hoses with visible deterioration or cracks in
evidence should be done without delay.
5. * The fuse box on the port side of the engine compartment bulkhead should be
changed to a more modern type if it is a knife switch type fuse box.
6. * The deck fuel fill caps should have bonding wires to the tanks to prevent
accidental electrical arcing when filling the tanks.
7. * The small fuel fill hose from the deck cap to the tanks were showing signs of
aging and should be replaced with U.S.C.G. approved fuel hose.
8. * The portable fire extinguishers should be more adequately secured.
9. * A copy of the U.S.C.G. Rules of the Road should be aboard.
10. * A Marpol Garbage Disposal placard should be posted.
11. * All running lights should be proved operational and meeting U.S.C.G.
requirements for visibility.
12. The wod under the anchor roller on the deck is cracked. Repair.
13. * The carbon monoxide alarms and batteries should be checked periodically.
14. * All combustibles under the galley sink next to the Ac outlet should be kept in a
locker.
15. * In date flares should be carried aboard.
16. * The air-conditioning hose needs a second hose clamp attached.
17. * The engine room blower was a bit noisy but the blower hoses picking up from the lower bilge area.
18. * All wing nuts on the batteries should be replaced with hex type nuts and the
batteries should be in covered boxes and well secured.
19. * The air conditioning pump was a bit loose. Re-secure.
20. * Their are uncovered small Ac wires on the mid air-conditioning unit. Install
small cover over the terminal block.
21. * All seacocks with heavy green chloride buildup should be cleaned back to good
bronze and replaced if necessary.
22. The underbody was percussed with a phenolic hammer and all planks were found to be in overall sound condition.
23. All internal framing was sighted as sound with the exception of one set of small
intermediate frames in the aft cabin area. This is minor and does not need to be
addressed at this time.
24. * All seacocks that are a bit difficult to open and close should be serviced as necessary.
25. Wood plugs should be kept aboard in case of an emergency to be able to plug any
leaks.
From general examination of this vessel while hauled, as far as practicable
without making major removals to expose parts concealed, it is the opinion of this
surveyor that the vessel is structurally sound and will be satisfactory for service
as a yacht when the recommendations marked with a double asterisk (**) in the
left hand margin, if any, have been complied with. Those items marked with a single
asterisk (*) should be done without delay and those items noted without asterisks
