The Constellation was generally considered to be the top of the line
mahogany cruiser offered by Chris-Craft from it's inaugural year,1955,
through 1972, the year the last mahogany cruiser was delivered. The
Constellations were constructed using mahogany planks over oak frames,
and they were fitted for comfort and elegance. There were very few
accessories offered since every imaginable accessory was already
included on these marvelous yachts.
The Promises is a Salon Model featuring double staterooms (Forward and
aft) and a very spacious salon equipped with a modern, though Classic,
amidship galley. Each stateroom has a insuite head, the forward head has
access from the salon, and the aft head is equipped with a full shower.
The Salon models were advertised as sleeping 6, but can easily
accommodate 8 people. and a max of 44 people allowed on board! That would be a Great cocktail party! The aft cabin is located below the command bridge.
A very comfortable aft deck is also an outstanding feature of this
immaculate cruiser. This 1963 Chris Craft 42' Constellation (45' Total)
is in excellent condition, There were only 50 of these ever
produced...This is #15 and I have only been able to find 3 others! This
exact Model was on the Popular "The Fugitive" SHe was considered a Class
Act
it would make an outstanding Live a Board Boat, or long range cruiser. Some of things that have been done in the last 3 weeks...

all items on the boat function correctly,

the boat also comes with a 4 cylinder generator, which is a hand crank
Kohler (They used in the Army) THis is a great feature as you don't need
batteries to start her. Brand new rebuilt magento. A brand new rebuilt carb but still needs a mechanic to go through the generator. 2 cylinders are showing no compression. The generator was sitting for quite a long time so it could be stuck valves at the least. It's just a cool feature . Not that any one around here would anchor out in the middle of nowhere over night but still nice to have
The boat makes a grand impression, Even at the dock, People can't help but stop and talk about her. People even remember her from the show, The Fugitive. It would be hard pressed to find another in this condition , and it is turn key
She has had her port and starboard side decks sanded and
varnished and the deck at the bow also sanded down and varnished as well
as as the rear deck...Basically, all decks... Brand new L-shaped couch made and A Brand new Fire Place for ambiance as well as heat if you take her up North, Curtains, and a custom dinette
made. (These Cruisers were never big on interiors back then) I am also
having the counter tops re-done. SHe runs beautiful. I love they way She handles...You would think she would be tough to turn but she does it with ease and believe it or not...She will plane! She is docked in Sanibel Harbor. Electronics are depth
finder, radio,actual
radar remains on the roof .... We have the Survey from April 2013 that shows STRONG results with a
value of $70,000 and a replace from scratch at $400,000 and this was
before all the work we have done!!!
Here's a couple short videos we took on Friday. It was just to view dolphins but you can hear her run. Go to youtube and in the search bar, put in watch?v=xu3Npdb2MvU
