Chris Craft, Classic 1952 Special Runabout 17'

This is a beautiful boat that I purchased in 2007 from the retired VP of Chris Craft. The engine was rebuilt about 10 years ago, and has had low hours since (I've had the boat out maybe 10 times). I have not had it in the water for several years, but it starts right up. The boat was converted to 12 volt, but I will also include the 6 volt generator and coil in case you want to convert it back and make it all original. One of the guages stopped working (the tachometer I think; it might just be a loose connection but I have not examined it). The varnish is nice, but not perfect. The wood seems solid; I have had the floors out and crawled into the bow, and I canot find any soft wood. It soaks up nice and tight. It is 63 years old and so is not perfect, but a beautiful boat that we have loved, and lots of people gather around whenever we launched it. Comes with a beautiful custom cover, and also the trailer with good tires. The original KL type engine sounds fantastic! I can't imagine anybody would be disappointed with this, but please ask any questions you may have. Thank you for looking.
