1970 Chris Craft Roamer Express Cruiser 38' - This is a project boat but one that now has a Solid Steel foundation! We spent over $15,000 to remove and replace the majority of the hull shortly after pull out four years ago. The twin 427 engines remain in good shape and are warehoused and ARE included in the sale...these are valued at no less than $3,500 by COBRA enthusiasts. Also stored are many many mechanical components to include the transmissions. One of the transmissions has been professionally rebuilt at cost of $1,500; the other transmission is in good condition. Both brass props have been professionally balanced and now in excellent condition - cost was $500. Exterior paint is in good shape just sun baked along with the mahogany; one area on forward bow needs repair from a minor impact. She is on blocks on my property in Chattanooga, TN. The engine area and above flooring has been gutted to allow for the final phase of steel prep on top side.

1970 Chris Craft Roamer Express Cruiser 38' - This is a PROJECT BOAT, but one now that has a Solid Steel foundation! We spent over $15,000 to remove and replace the majority of the hull shortly pulling her out three years years ago.For sale is the former "Shooting Star" of Chattanooga. She was restored 15 years ago and both engines rebuilt. Three years ago we decided to pull the vessel and do a complete bottom job and redo the engine compartment and above seating areas....only the bottom has been done.I don't have an interest in "parting" out the boat and that is why I have priced at $7,500 WITH BUT WILL SELL FOR $5,000 SHOULD THAT BE BE THE BEST OFFER DURING THIS SEVEN DAY BID.The majority of the bottom has been either replaced or replated and painted with bottom paint and ready for the finish paint that is included.The engines were in good shape and are warehoused along with many other mechanical components. One of the transmissions has been totally rebuilt, and the other is in good condition.Remaining work other than putting the pieces back together would be to repaint the engine compartment, rebuild a flooring system / floor and sidewalls at the helm / sitting areas.Exterior paint is in good shape, one area on forward bow needs repair.She is on blocks at my warehouse on North Chattanooga Creek (near hwy 152/hwy 58 intersection.
