Chris Craft Capri

Vintage 1956 Chris Craft 19' Capri Mahogany Runabout Project. This was top of the line in 1956, the last of the Classic mahogany double cockpit runabouts. Very stylish, with the clipper bow and aft tumble home simular to Riva's. Featured two tone mahogany deck and this hull came with the optional triple carburetor racing engine see the large carb cover on hatch, although was replace with a Crusader marine 327 engine. Engine is unknown, the oil looks clean and rockers and valves are oiled. Engine and reverse gear oil clean. Parts for Chev v8's are plentiful and the complete conversion is there. This boat needs a lot of wood work, total take apart and rebuild into a low maintenance super boat with contemporary materials. Comes with most hardware that original came with boat..Center post on windshield was damaged, possibly could be straighten, rest of its there. Have original brass serial number hull tag. Trip to the mahogany lumber yard and most of the rest is there, unlike cars where you have to hunt for every little part. Trailer has new tires and needs paint and is included. Wheel bearings unknown. Get into a great hobby and an original boat with a serial number adding number adding great value. Much better investment than building a similar boat from plans.
