1955 Chris Craft Holiday 18
Estate sale
Hull # 18095
My father recently passed away and we are in the process of liquidating some of his possessions. This boat was acquired in 2000 and it sat around for about 10 years until he started the restoration. I have posted some pictures of it on the water that were taken in the last couple of years. The pictures of it in the shop building were taken this last week. We have not had time to pull it out a clean it up yet this year, but we did fill it with fresh gas and fired it up. Dad started disassembling the hull in the summer of 2010. He sent the striped hull up to the Antique Boat shop in Fort Wayne, Indiana to be restored which was performed in the winter of 2010/2011. If you goggle "antique boat shop 1955 chris craft holiday" you can find some information and photos of the hull restoration. Email me if you are unable to locate the site and I can send the link.Once the hull restoration was complete the boat was reassembled in Texas. The red interior was restored at a local interior shop in Texas. The motor was not rebuilt at the time but was cleaned up and reinstalled. The boat was used very sparingly on Lake LBJ in central Texas and was stored inside on the trailer when not in use. In 2014 it was determined that the motor had seen better days and was in need of a rebuild. A local shop pulled the motor and it was determined that without re-sleeving the block it was not going to be possible to rebuild it. So my father purchased the correct rebuilt motor from LaPointes Classic Boat & Motor, located in Spring Park, Minnesota and had the motor ship to a local shop for installation. They have a website if you want to research their business.Since the restoration was completed the boat has been a regular at the Lake LBJ wooden boat show every October. It includes a dual axle boat trailer. I do not have much information on the trailer or know the condition of the hubs, brakes or tires. The boat comes with a clear Texas title and the trailer was homemade so we will provide a bill of sale.We also have the boat for sale locally and reserve the right to remove the auction at any time. Im open to offers as we are trying to liquidate my fathers toys. Please let me know if you have any questions and good luck bidding. Please contact me is you have less than 10 recent feedbacks or you are using a new account. I will cancel all bids that do not meet this requirement.
