What we have here is a 1955 Cobra hull #17 that was donated to the Alburnett Community School District by an alumni. So we know little about the boat other than what the donor told us. We do have a lot of paperwork and receipts that came with it. I would be glad to email them to you. Here's what we know. It was restored in about 1987 by Wilson Boat Works inOkoboji, IA. It has been revarnished again since then, early 90's I think. Donor says it has only been in the water 3 times and preformed perfectly. It currently has a era correct 283 V8. Engine was pickled with oil and turns free. We feel there is no reason it would't start right up. We understand the 18 footers didn't come with a V8 and we DO have the original KLC 6cyl that came in the boat originally. Look for it in the pics.
