I AM SELLING MY CHRIS CRAFT 15 FOOT RUNABOUT PROJECT. THIS IS A PLYWOOD BOAT. I BELIEVE IT IS ABOUT A 1955 CAVALIAR. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. TRAILER WILL ROLL BUT I DO NOT CONSIDER IT BY ANY MEANS A ROADABLE TRAILER. THE BOAT HAS A GRAY MARINE SEA SCOUT 91 ENGINE. I THINK THE ENGINE IS ABOUT TEN YEARS OLDER THAN THE BOAT. THE APPROX VINTAGE ON THE ENGINE IS 1945 / 1946. I WAS GOING TO [PULL THE ENGINE AND USE IT IN ANOTHER PROJECT, THATS WHY THE MOUNTS ARE OFF. I OILED EVERYTHING AND CRANKED IT OVER. IT HAD ABOUT 50 LBS OF COMPRESSION IN ALL THE HOLES. WOULD PROBABLY GET MUCH STRONGER WITH SOME USE. SOMEWERE IN THE ENGINES LIFE SOMEONE STOLE THE DISTRIBUTOR AND A MOUSE GOT IN THERE AND BUILT A NEST. I REMOVED AS MUCH AS I COULD THROUGH THE TRANS COVER, BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND DROPPING THE OIL PAN TO CLEAN IT OUT IF I W AS GOING TO USE THE ENGINE. THE SKIN ON THE HULL IS PRETTY BAD AND MOST OF THE WOOD IS PATTERN WOOD. THE BOAT IS RESTORABLE BUT NEEDS A LOT OF WORK. I HAVE HAD THIS FOR TEN YEARS AND AFTER MAKING REALLY NO PROGRESS ON HER, HAVE DECIDED THAT THE OLD GIRL DESERVES A MUCH BETTER HOME WITH SOMEONE WHO WILL LOVE AND CHERISH HER AS SHE DESERVES! I CAN HELP LOAD ON A TRAILER. I HAULED IT IN ON A F350 ROLLBACK WITH A 16 FOOT BED! DON'T BE SHY, MAKE AN OFFER! I MIGHT HAVE A BIGGER ENGINE I COULD ALSO SELL. EMAIL OR CALL ME WITH QUESTIONS! THANK YOU, DON phone.
