Gorgeous vintagerestored Chris Craft for sale. With the beautiful rounded stern, this is considered a pre barrel back design. The engine was rebuilt in 2019. This boat has minimal water time since restoration. Features a new gas tank liner, rebuilt starter, carburetor, and 12 volt upgrade. Excellent high gloss varnish with museum quality finish. An experienced restored may find a minor blemish to paint or varnish, but I would rate the finish as 96 out of 100. Less than 10 hours on rebuilt engine. This boat has a rare numbers matching original Chrysler 4 cylinder 55 HP engine. Many of the 1932 Chris crafts were supplied withGray marine or Hercules engines in 1932. A strike in 1932 turned Chris Craft to a short run of Chrysler engines. The Chrysler enginewas considered a far superior engine to theprevious marine engines and easily out preformed the other engines in durability and speed.Chris Craft advertised a top speed of 32 mph, although with a rebuild that exceeded the 1932 standards, I suspect this boat may go faster than that and the horse powerprobably exceeds55 HP.No expense spared in the2019 rebuild. Engine rebuilt bya premier authority on marine engines (Auto Machine, St. Charles, IL). Receipt available. I have spent justunder $9,000.00 on theengine rebuild alone.Great oil pressure of 32 lbs at idle. This engine really jumps this light boat up to full plane in seconds. Always stored on a lift and indoors in winter. All fresh water use.Previous owner completed professional restoration of all wood, inside and outside to include a no leak (fiberglass)bottom. I have not gotten to upgrading the lights, temperature, and amp gauge to 12 volts, and the tachometer needs a electronic upgrade. An additional 10 hours of break in will be needed.Includes trailer with swing away tongue, easily fits in any standard garage, taking up 17 or 18 feet.Boat is 15.5 feet long and the beam is 5' 4". Please check out Hagerty Marine Insurance, what is my Chris craft worth. My reserve iswell belowthe Hagertyvalue. I am not interested in makingtop dollar on this boat, just interested inmoving on and into a bigger boat. I purchased this boat from the descendants of the original owner.Contactme for full history and any additional details.
