Chris Craft 280

Up for auction is a a very nice 1982 Chris Craft 280 Catalina. The boat is is very good condition and has had many upgrades and restoration back to factory spec. The issue is the 2002 Mercruiser 6.2 MX fuel injected engine. It has a blown head gasket on the port bank and was running when it was shut down. The sign of trouble was a small fuel sheen on the port exhaust while the engine was running. Ran for 5 more hours with no issue. Shut done on the dock and it restarted 5 times. Next morning was hard starting. Pulled the plugs and second cylinder aft had water in it. Was going to replace with a new engine but went in another direction. Other then that the boat has taken us many miles without a problem.
