A 1963 30FT Chris Craft Constellation with working twin SBCs!. Condition is "Used". Local pickup only. With clean title!
For sale is a 1963 Chris Craft Constellation 30ft wooden hull boat located in the Puget Sound! You arent just buying a boat, but a piece of American history and a fargone era of boating. The lines and look of these boats are truly classic and with beauty that modern fiberglass boats just dont have. Both engines run and work with a recent port engine carb rebuilt! Port engine is a 307QL and starboard is a 327Q. Both with recent new fuel filters, new raw water pump implers, are fresh water cooled, and new distro caps and run! Hull is good altogether but has a small hole to the port due to bumping into the dock and a lil bump at the keel. See also needs some paint and minor hull cleaning.*** This is a working project so DO NOT expect it to be brand new like in 1963 for the price.
All navigation lights work, gauges work, has an anchor, garmin GPS, antenna, radio, bimini top, and more! Boat has a head, galley, forward berth, newer table seats with no holes, and bunk beds. Please note THE INTERIOR HAS BEEN FURISHISED for photos only and the items WILL BE REMOVED prior to sale! Only major issue is stuffing boxes for the rudders and driveshafts leak a lil water, (nothing major, automatic bilge pump rarely comes on and boat sits in water 24/7). The drive shaft strut supports were damaged by electrolysis but I started to replace them with coosa board. Portside is already done. And minor leaking around the window seal which is typical for these but can be fixed.
All and all this is a great solid boat for the price, that works, unique, rare, and need a lil of TLC. I used it this summer in the Puget Sound and has gotten me and my family home safe everytime, see photos. Please message if you got questions. This is a great boat that has amazing history. Slip is transferable. She deserve to continue living her life and I do not want to part her out.
If you are a serious buyers only. Even better, if you re in the area I can see her in person and maybe go on a quick sail for serious buyers only! Sold as is where is!
Only reason selling is due to wanting to sail to Alaska and buying a thicker hull boat. Cheers!
