One of 25 pre war 25 sportsmans. This boat needs total restoration. The bottom, deck and much of the interior has been replaced with plywood. The engine is a running takeout from another 1940 Chris Craft that should be a routine rebuild. It is a 404 cubic inch beast, was the top of the line option for this boat and has the torque and power to move the boat well when fully loaded. The hardware package is I believe complete and correct for the boat. These are wonderfully dry spacious and comfortable boats when finished. The original seats were leather and there is plenty of room for wicker chairs. Although much knowledgeable work is required, these boats command well into six figures when finished. I am retiring from doing restorations and selling my large shop. The price is very very low for this boat as I do not wish to move and store it. It deserves a good home and will reward a new owner with many family memories. The boat is located in N.C. 27932 and comes with a very good modern aluminum trailer with electric-hydraulic disc brakes. The engine can be placed in the boat.
