From sticks to stunning! This is hull number 100 of 167 built. This very rare and special race boat has been fully restored over the past five years with afastidious attention to traditional techniques and using modern materials where appropriate. The double planked sides, decks and bottom (skinned with BS1088 marine plywood with epoxy abovethewaterline, below 3M 5200) will withstand constant use and climatechange without moving.Although originally a painted hull, the owner elected to go with stain and varnish, which is beautiful on this boat as the planking was all hand selected and carefully matched. It has 13 coats of Epiphanes varnish on it and looks stunning. Theupholstery has been done to painstaking originality, with kapokcushions, Chris Craft tags stitched in, tacks and straps by our very own Jack Mayeaux. All thehardware has beenre-plated to show quality andcarefully refitted. The original 121HP triple carb KB has had a full Van Ness rebuild and has only test run time on it. The instruments and panel were all fully restored by Mark Clawson of Clawson Classic Instruments. If you want an original, rare and very collectable barrel back then this is it, ready to be enjoyed. Restoration by the Lake Oswego Boat Co, LLC.Would consider trades for a classic Porsche or Mercedes.
