Checkmate Skimate #1

Hi everyone,

This is a rarebeautifully restored 1974 Checkmate ski boat 16' registered for 6 person .The last three pictures are of this boat in proses of restoration and was a complete tare down .Large Metallic blue paint, with blue and white upholstery and black carpet. This boat has been professionally restored . New fiberglass and wood floor, new wiring and white faragauges, tach,speed,and fuel.Custom seats with all new materials, marine 7/lbs marine grade upholstery, new custom seat structures coated in fiberglass resin for strength and for moisture resistance . Front seats are on a swivel pedestal ,Rear seats are a three piece bench.Motor is a mercury 115tower of powerthat was gone threw and reconditioned and runs good as it should.Motor has power trim and rack and pinion cable steering. 20 gallon aluminum gas tank installed with fuel gauge.Has a ski tripod already to go tubing or skiing. stainless steel prop.This boat went 55mph on the water with 3 adults. black easyloader roller trailer included, wiring and lights working good. Trailer Axel also has bearing buddies and good tires. Thepic with the id number has a few surface cracks in the gelcoat,(this is the only place that is defective looks like scratches)that has no effect on function, transomis solid .This boat is for fun in the sun. I have ben working on boats for 20 years and am currently service manager at a local marine dealer, I have performed most of this restoration my self and some by employees .This boat was restored for my personal use not for resale, so with that in mind no corners were cut on the quality. With proper maintenance and care this boat will last for years to come.

My wife said I have too many toys, so it has to go, I havewellover the buy it now priceinvested,my loss is your gain. A boat in this condition at this price wont last long now that boating season is almost here.

A must see in person, don't let the original manufacture date scare you, this was and still is a very good hull design andwith this restore job done itcouldbe called as good asnew. Since this boat is listed as used/restored there is no warranty implied (as is sale). A dust cover is included with the boat sale at no charge. Also since the roads are dirty this time of year shrink wrapping is available upon request for $100.00 to keep it clean during transport.This boat is listed locally so I reserve the right to end auction early if no bids are received. I can deliver for $2.50 a mile up to 500 miles/ over 500miles can be negotiated .
