This boat mostly needs engine work . The previous owner said that he had engine problems and brought it to a service shop. They said that it had a cylinder head gasket problem and removed the head. The owner decided not to do the repairs and it remains as is and taken apart. The engine cranks over fine and the cylinders look to have some light rust in them but no scoring that we noticed. It is not seized and actually cranks over perfectly well. The owner never got the head back from the shop so it is not included. The power trim works great and it otherwise looks fairly clean. The lower unit shifts into forward and reverse well and there is a polished stainless prop included. There is no battery included so we hooked up our jump box and the gauges, bilge pump and bow light all worked. Cosmetically the boat could use a buff/wax and cleaning but the gel coat is not badly scratched or gouged. There is moderate sun fading in the metal flake in some areas but still looks pretty sharp in my opinion. The upholstery has someissues as shown in the pictures. The rear back seat is missing as it was very rotted and thrown out. The helm seats are in useable condition. Structurally the transom is rock solid and the decks are firm in the cockpit other than the bilge area behind the rear seat. The wood is rotted on the deck in the bilge area and will need to be replaced (see pics). The carpet is in okay shape and overall the boat is very original with a ton of potential.
The trailer is inserviceable shape although we are unsure if the lights work. The frame, axle, andsprings are quite rusty but seem to be in solid shape. The tires hold air well and the bearings seam fine. We towed this boat to our shop over 140 miles with no problems. I would recommend replacing the tires before a long trip as some areas are heavilydry rotted.
The pictures are current and the boat is being sold as is in the condition shown. You are welcome to come to our shop and inspect the boat anytimebefore auctions end. We are located in Old Saybrook, Connecticut and open by appointment.
